Do you mean, using an extention? Like I already do with NoScript for JavaScript?

There's been some time since I last used Firefox, but back then there were extensions that gave you a checkbox to enable/disable flash and similar. I'm using Opera now, it has site preferences, so I don't have flash enabled at all, unless the url is so-and-so. I recon somebody has made something similar for Firefox by now as well. Maybe adblock plus?

Noscript disables flash, if you set the option to.
