Remaining Start Locations:

Benefleur: Your race populates the edge of the plains of the Eastern Continental Island, where you survive by descending from the cliffs to overwhelm the immense herbivores roving the plains. Chief among these herbivores is the Bala, a twelve-foot tall four legged grazer that travels in herds. They sometimes stray too close to the cliff, and then you are able to descend, surround an individual Bala, and rip it apart. The remaining herd members flee from your sting, and the fallen Bala will feed the Hive for weeks. There is, however, a complication that has arisen. Hidden among the Bala are carnivores, disguised to be identical in appearance to the rest of the herd. However, when a herd with these predators among them is attacked, the false Bala will charge the attacker and slice them apart with razor-sharp tusks formerly retracted into the carnivore's skull. These new predators are resistant to your stings, and encounters with them are growing both more deadly and more frequent. You could find a way to dispatch these creatures yourselves, or perhaps you might locate an alternate food source.

Hari-Kan: Your race stalks the Western Archipelago with graceful precision, taking down prey from birds to lumbering beasts. As an apex predator, you were unchallenged and relatively secure; until the food started to run out. Or, rather, it started to run away. With your large bodies, you have proven unable to keep up with the evolution of faster flight among the winged animals, and likewise your  hollow flight-capable bones are easily broken in combat with the larger land creatures. Suddenly, famine has become an immediate threat, and extinction is not far off. You only have one option; adapt. Your race needs some edge over it's prey, lest it go the way of your countless exterminated enemies...

Raq Lizards: 'Swamps' is not a valid location. Please re-examine the location options in the original post.

Para: Your race is freshly evolved from a more earthbound tunneling spider. Your numbers are small, but you have the advantage of observing the food chain before entering it. Presently, the large core stalks, once easy prey of many herbivoric species, are beginning to evolve mechanisms of defense. The core stalks might even have some level of consciousness; perhaps you would be able to communicate with it if you burrowed into the stalk's core? There is a nearby stalk with it's core exposed after an insect attack; that would be a good place to start if you are betting on the prosperity of the stalks. Alternatively, there are many animal races that roam the core's surface; you could burrow into any and gain some limited control over their actions, but their lives and yours would be more easily destroyed, and with your limited numbers the risk is a factor worth consideration.

D'Karthigax the Kraken: Hmm, we're going to have to handle you differently. Expect a PM soon.

Islander: Your race was one of the oldest on the planet. As long as creatures crawled on land, they touched your false soil. Not all of these years were prosperous, however, and in this modern day you find yourselves in a rather diminished state. Once your kind mingled among the natural islands of the Western Archipelago, but you gradually drifted east into isolation. Now, you find yourselves with a unique opportunity. The approach of the Great Storm heralds a strong wind current going both East and West. Your clump of island has landed right in the center of the current's divergence, and so it will only take the smallest bit of energy expended by snapping filiments to send you towards either island grouping. The Western Archipelago is familiar, but the creatures there are adapted to prey on you particularly. The Eastern Continent is unfamiliar, but you might have better luck there than in the West.

Nidrakk: Your race is nearly extinct! A horrible mutation in the Nidrakk genome, introduced by an infected creature, slowly weakened the race and made them susceptible to a great viral plague. From your home in the Western Archipelago, you were nearly wiped out. There is a bright side, however; the last remaining Nidrakk colony has hitched a ride on an Islander bio-archipelago. Wherever the Islanders end up, you will have a large food supply to establish yourselves, and a second chance at survival. Luckily, natural selection has purged the plague-enabling gene from your race...

Too many actions... I'll have to do them separately. See you all tomorrow.

The Nildraak aboard the Islander will get off at the nearest exit island, as soon as possible, provided that the exit is safe. As soon as possible, begin infecting any local creatures, and instead of waiting for natural death, kill them after genetic transformation is complete via the embedded parasite to immediately provide our primary method of reproduction; spore spawners.
(In short, increase population)

(For the record, spore spawners produce parasites, little spiderlike creatures with a short, sharp beak used to pierce the skin of potential hosts and then occupy them)

Benefluer

This new predator was certainly interesting. Unfortunately for it, it had decided that the Hive would be easy prey. It would learn the fallacy of that assumption all too soon. It seemed that the venom of the Drones simply wasn't effective on these creatures. Very well. Soon, there would be new Sisters joining in the Hunt. Sisters who lived to hunt. To kill.

The Benefluer will evolve the Huntresses, a new caste in the Hierarchy. They will have a significantly more potent sting, as well as a slightly more flexible carapace.

Hari-Kan:  The Hari-Kan will turn their attention to the land beasts, they will pack hunt like lionesses always aiming for the weakest ones, and avoiding the stronger tougher ones.

((While my race can fly they mostly use it as a super pounce to knock the beast over if big or to grab it in their mouths of small enough.  They are also sky blue with forest green wing, and bellow cat eyes.))

I see we are all getting inspiration to make parasites icefire2341 seems to particularly be taking some inspiration nice to see interesting parasites appear to be clearly hosts of the paras but of course that is the most likely ending (insert gloating enormous speech here) ;)

If you all feel it's necessary. I didn't set one up with the last iteration, but if it is desired I can create it.

Alright, HERE WE GO

Hytel: You have invested one evolution point to create a shell. Addition points will be needed for spikes or poison.

The winged creatures are momentarily repelled. Some of you are still killed when the birds attack their underside, but casualties are far reduced. With this momentary pause, you are given freedom to consider your next decision. The clouds of nutrient plankton seem to be more dense at a somewhat higher altitude, but small fish grow much scarcer there. If you intend on establishing your species as minor predators in the future, you may want to descend instead; because of nearby geography, many fish are pushed through a single area nearby.

Angel Newts: You have one free evolution point.

You end up observing an uneasy truce with the creatures of the fruit groves. A few of your kind are eaten, but when the unpleasant results are observed nearly all of the various carnivores avoid you. There is a notable exception, however; a medium-sized four legged creature has taken to killing your newts for sport. They don't eat what they kill, rather simply slicing open your arteries with their retractable claws and then leaving you to die. They show no signs of stopping, and they seem to be large enough that your stingers cannot subdue them easily.

Harka: Your thralls have evolved to have thick skulls. This took one evolution point.

You achieve mixed results. You purge the parasite from the vast majority of your servants, and the lack of new transmissions ensure that your population will soon be purified. Unfortunately, many of the thralls were unable to be cured, and the population is much lower than usual. This contributes to your difficulty in defending your besieged stalk; by the time you have enough of your forces near the besieged stalk, it has already lost it's outer armor, and the insects are tearing away at it's fleshy insides. You drive them off, but the health of the stalk is severely affected. Without it's shielding, the radiation of the core strikes deeply into it's innards. This is the largest danger to your kind; stalks rarely fall, but once their armor is penetrated they are soon lethally poisoned by radiation.

Aeromanta: You are developing a highly-insulated skin. This will take two evolution points, and you have one invested.

You follow the Great Storm as you always have. Whatever happens when it hits the archipelago, your safest chance is to follow the Storm to the end. And so you did as you always had, continuing to fly in the winds, generations passing on... until a freak was born. Its wings were shorter than all other Aeromanta, but it could move them with remarkable speed, accelerating steadily and then tucking in its wings to fly like a bullet. He has shown great ability to survive in the upper atmosphere, and he communicates back an interesting fact; the Great Storm is calm in it's middle. No Aeromanta has ever made it to the center, for conditions around it are exceeding hostile and incredibly deadly. What might lie at the center of a milennia-old storm?

Gutterflue: You have one free evolution point.

The dangerous harvest of core-bound prey is largely successful. You kill scores of organisms unprepared for an attack from above, and very few Gutterflue are lost to the enemy. However, losses are still significant; something else is killing off your hunters. They grow sick, their digestive system fails, and then they die, all in the space of a few hours. It has so far avoided killing any of the Gutterflue simply eating the harvest of the hunters. (good luck figuring it out)

Harka

So my high radiation resistance is bound up in the armour? Kind of annoying.

Evolution point to becoming more toxic, being effective both against parasites and normal predators who eat the stalk or its agents.

We shall continue our ascent for the time being, changing our herding ability to protect ourselves against attacks from below, forming spheres with our shells facing outward.
