Mission 1 Turn 1: tutorial Into the Ruins

After several hours of hiking through the dense pines you come across the vast ruins. They are definately ruins, the ones closest to you look more like a few piles of engraved rocks than remains of buildings. But further up the mountain you can see much more intact and imposing ruins. Smoke can be seen rising from deep within them. Overseer Hestol directs you on combat.

For this endeavor each of you will exclusively command your monsters. In some situations you may have to fight monsters yourselves, but for the most part leave the fighting to the monsters. There will likely be several fights during this mission, don't wear out your monster right away. Some monsters have per fight special moves, use these strategically, they can make the difference between losing a fight and finishing a mission. Now that that's done we will enter the ruins and begin exploring. You will have to collectively decide what we do in addition to your own individual actions. Furthermore--

Before Hestol could finish instructing you, a pack of wolves exits from the ruins. It looks like there are 5 wolves against your eight monsters. Time to command some monsters!

Have Roderick charge forward, draw bow and fire at the nearest wolf.

Felix and Oliver charge at another wolf in a joint attack!

Better gain the advantage from the start.

He said, while he ordered Auror to fly to the middle wolf attacking him and releasing his flash, like a living flashbang granade. hen he tended his bow and shoot an arrow at the same wolf.

Flabort stands beside his hound, contemplating climbing on top and riding the monster, but deciding against it until he gets a saddle fitted for him.

"Moe, circle around, draw one off the pack." Flabort gives his monster some hand signs, and points to the indicated wolf. "Don't attack yet, wait for the first," he says, making some more hand signs. He desperately hopes the oversized dog understands.

Once Moe has his orders, Flabort lets him run off to fulfill them, and then takes his sword and runs in towards the wolf he pointed Moe at, trying to get behind it.

"Munch, grab some of those fallen rocks around you and spit them out at those danced dogs!" Zomara commanded in haste, as he pulled out a bolt for his crossbow.
He didn't know Munch all that well, but he did know one thing. That slime knew how to eat and spit, or else his arm would have gone with the sleeve. . . .
eat. . . .  That's an idea.
Zomara's mind worked hard.
"If you can keep them from making me have to fire a bolt, I will give you a quarter of my rations to go with yours, tonight."

"Flare, get in there and hit them with Fire Breath while they're grouped up, the back off."

Have Flare hit the densest packed group of wolves. Dash in after to attack any if them who chase after Flare with my sword.

((Looks like we aren't any good at following orders, like only having our monsters fight.))

((We have weapons, I see no reason NOT to use them.))

"So I was thinking we should all probably acquire a new companion here, if possible. Not these things though, they're probably gonna get knocked out easy. Dibs on slimes."

"How about this? First one to get a slime our cook hasn't seen, gets 20 whatever from each of us?"

"Roxanne, fire at the foremost of the pack." Scapheap directs his ally.

Felicia stares.
"Legion, target a wolf. Distract. Irritate."
The spiders, which are nestled in her hair, stream down her back, the swarm reforming at her feet and surging towards the wolves as fast as a bunch of spiders can. Felicia takes out her axe.
Legion and the spiders should, if the magical order comprehension somehow works, crawl all over a wolf. Legion itself, being somewhat poisonous, bites.

(My internet is down so I can't write a normal update, but for the sake of moving things along, I will just use my phone. Normal action updates will have your rolls and the health and all that good stuff, but I can't access it all right now.)

In flurry of action the entire group attacks the wolves. It was a slaughter.  Rocks, fire, and blood, lots and lots of blood, immediately filled the air. Two fell instantly to swords  axes and arrows. Another was envenomed and then caught on fire before being killed. Another followed Moe and was drawn away from the group and has been backed into a corner by the large barking dog. It is currently undamaged and unable to escape. The last one took a shot to its left flank and immediately made a mad dash deeper into the ruins.

The group is now standing in a courtyard with two paths leading deeper into the ruins, one on the left and another on the right. The grey wolf is cowering in the corner, unable to get past Moe to escape.

[Adragis]

"Look. We can beat it into servitude."

[FelixSparks]

"If that's your thing! I'm gonna head right. Who's coming with?" Felix stands near the right path, Oliver on his shoulder. Felix is casually reading his Guide to Monsters.

Felicia stares at the wolf.
