The new microsoft edge, which has had many issues because of not being recognized as a real browser last I'd heard.

I've heard that Windows 10 will root out any pirated software on your computer and disable it. Is that true? I, uh, I'm asking for a friend.
Not true. I...uh...a friend of mine has...more than a few pieces of "found" software and it works fine. Some things just have to be run as administrator.

I also have not noticed any issues with software fallen out of the back of vans.

Same deal as before, then: completely ignore the MS browser in favor of anything else.

That's the most effective way to deal with M$ browsers. Edge looks and feels almost exactly like IE, if IE were more obnoxious about using Bing.

I like to take it a step farther... actually delete said MS browser from my computer to get a bit more space. :P

You can disable the tiles?

You can disable the tiles?

Well, you can take every tile out of the tiles, thus leaving you with no tiles.

That actually has the potential to seriously screw some things up. Be careful with that. I disabled UAC at the registry level and half of my shit stopped working. My calendar still won't sync with my Windows phone.

Full disclosure edit: I just fixed my calendar. I had my privacy settings (*snerk*) up too high and it got shut off in the wave of other shit I shut off with a script. The more you know.

HOW?!

... The same way you remove a single tile. Right-click and unpin from start. Repeat for all tiles (I don't do this, I actually like the tiles as long as they're in start menu format.)

Or, as per earlier, use ClassicShell so that both halves of your start menu are functional.

Edge is very quick actually. It has flash and silverlight. It doesn't have many additional features, and because of that, it runs very quickly, and tends to not open any more security holes than any other browser running javascript, flash, or silverlight.

I like it, and once they decide to have addons, adblock plus will work on it, which will make it more attractive for me than it is at the moment.

It lacks addons and has silverlight? Two things I do not care about.
