I think I'll allow that. Players can generate their regiments using the rules from the Core Rulebook, Shield of Humanity and Hammer of the Emperor and then we'll see if people like them.

I'm going to attempt what powder is doing. It may have some holes in it's feasability but it'll have the main things I like from the Core book. I'll post that in a EDIT format.

I think it is 2 for now. 3 if Caellath decides to join. Even then, we would still need one more person.

Ok. That would leave us with 3-4 players I believe.

+1 welcome to the Regiment.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Regiment name: The Dedas Golden Eagles

Motto: "Aim High"

Homeworld: Dedas (Schola Progenium world)

Commanding office: (Choleric) : Commander Omar Zaath. Omar is a dinosaur at his mid-thirties. He is one of the few to have survived the 2 war fronts beforehand (against heretical sepratist and Orks respectively) and is by far the most experienced soldier in the unit. He is universally seen at the front during a skirmish or battle and is the shining example of a poster boy guardsmen. His spirituality and will are said to be legendary but his tolerance for cults within the Imperium is low.

Doctrines: Sharpshooter and Electro-Vox warfare.

Drawbacks: Honor-Bound (For the smallest slight or declared challenge we shall reply with force. Our honor will never be tarnished by anyone. Ever.)

Cost points: 12

Standard kit: (Good Craftmanship) Lascarbine PC, Magnoculars PC, Chrono watch PC, Targeter PC, Munitorum Manual PC, Liquor PC, Flak Armor PC, Respirator PC, Grav Chute PC, 2 frag grenades PC, 2 smoke grenades PC, Data slate PC, micro-bead PC, anointed electronics tool kit PC,  2 scanners per squad, 2 static generators per squad, 1 vox caster per squad, 1 signal jammer per squad and Finally Universal Standard kit equipment's.

Favored Weapons: Open

Uniform: Dark abyss uniform with Gold Trimmings around the entire uniform. Think BDU but Black with golden decal stripes. Grav chutes display the Regimental Golden Eagles attached to a skull.

Characteristics modifiers: +3 to willpower and +3 to ballistics.

Starting skills: Common lore for the Imperium, Imperial Guard, War, and finally low and high Gothic (Which means we can talk to just about any human)). Operate (aurenatica)

Starting talents: Cat fall, Dead-eye, ((air of authority or unshakable faith. Players decide which.))

Starting aptituted: Ballistics skill

Starting traits: None

Starting wounds: +1

History: Why was the regiment created? To combat rebellious planet strongholds directly without the need for an Adeptus Astartes chapter being nearby. The Regiment has a small but rich history of capturing forts and disrupting enemy units behind the front lines. The regiment has only had experiences in fighting in two warzones and despite it's success their experienced trainers/leaders have not been lucky enough to survive the fighting. As such the Regiment has lost alot of valuable skills/experience/ and even talent in it's infancy.

What we believe: The Emperor laid divine claim to Dedas to secure our hearts and minds for the future. WE are the Alpha and Omega for the Emperors hammer wherever it needs to land. Our Dietity Sekhmet and her various sisters were also created to enforce that we are of the Emperors property in everything. We are his thoughts of what a guardsmen should be physically, Mentally, and Spiritually.

After every battle we sing praise to the God Emperor and thank the Dietites for sterring us all these years for the victories we acheive for them and the Emperor.

I've created a few regiments and suggestions and helped create others when I got a bit tired. I'll be happy to help, though I'll only start working on suggestions and opinions tomorrow, so until then.

Any opinions of the golden eagle regiment? They follow a Egyptian theme and are pretty hardcore when it comes to honor.

It seems a bit marine-centric overall, despite the fact most of the actual fighting done by the Imperium is via the Navy and the Guard; there wouldn't be a need to create a regiment to fight heretics because there aren't marines around since the Guard fights heretics all the time already and Astartes are rare appearances and usually only when the nastier stuff is abound.

Not believing in saints and being angry at those who mention them is actually a bit too deep into heresy for the Adeptus Ministorum's comfort and bound to get them in trouble too. Remember Scholas are indoctrinating machines, so if they have that kind of belief then it's likely whatever Schola they've been too has been spousing beliefs considered heretical by the Ecclesiarchy.

Mechanically it seems fine though I didn't read too deeply into it.

What we believe: The Emperor is the only God to us and we sneer at any who speak of saints or spirits. No man or Woman may claim divinity without having been blessed by the Emepror, himself such as the Primarchs of the Space Marines who fall though the skies with bravery and skill. Any who speak of saints have made a grevious insult to our unit and we shall guide them back to the correct path. One day the Emperor himself will bless us all when we die and reach the heavens with him. Once at his side we shall wait for his divine command to destroy the Warp in one last fantastic battle.
this looks awesome

I have to admit, I was a little sleepy when I helped him create the regiment so I didn't realize that problem fluff wise. I think the Saints thing could be changed so that they only accepted saints that are accepted by the Ministorum as a whole, like Sebastian Thor, but they wouldn't accept local saints and superstitions or something like that.

The marine thing could be explained if there was an important Black Templars keep in a nearby planet, so for a long time heresy in that area was fought by the local Black Templars, but when they abandoned the keep, new fighting forces were made necessary (It kinda makes sense because Black Templars would fight even the smallest hint of heresy, and they also tend to abandon their keeps for millenia at a time)
