Pick out a video or space-dvd or whatever to watch when she gets here. Or alternatively, try to remember how we usually hang out.

By the way, is the Desmond DMR figure I got something worthwhile, or could you get it anywhere? Or only by enduring a cheeseboarding?

Whistle cheerfully and tunelessly. Watch Emilio, break his arms if he tries to shank me.

Desmond hops a bit, shifting from leg to leg, getting a feel for his new legs. Jogs a lap or two, does a few kicks. Momentarily overjoyed, the typically subdued man cries with joy.

"I cannot thank you enough, lads. Oh, it feels good to have legs again. If you've ever pondered having a limb removed, let me tell you: it's not all it's chocked up to be. Not even close."

Hang around, do some annoying leg warmups.

Magnus stands and walks over to Emilio, brandishing his hammer.
What did you just call me?

"Ease up there, fellas."
"We need to all work together to fuck these commie BLU fuckers."

She points at Desmond's government-funded new legs.

Think about the show.  Could it just be one big conspiracy?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
[6]Absolutely.

Loiter.

[1] You lean against a door and fall over threateningly.

((Alright, I started with 9 DD and spent one on weaponized beverages, so I should have 2 points.))
Spend my points on a hammer.
Spoiler: Magnus the Colossal (click to show/hide)
Done.

Lean against the wall, glaring at Desmond for not being dead yet, and at Magnus for trying to kill me earlier.
[5] Few people have learnt more stylishly or glared more accusingly.

Whistle cheerfully and tunelessly. Watch Emilio, break his arms if he tries to shank me.
So... just the whistling for now, then?

You realise you just said a naughty word on television, right?

Nope, everyone's still pursuing their own odd agendas.

Glare at everyone, including myself and the people behind the fourth wall.
[5] You nearly strain your eyeballs.

[6]She's seen the film before, so you play scrabble instead. I assume that's what normal young couples do of an evening, anyway.

[1] A quick websearch tells you it's almost definitely a collector's edition limited release Japan-2 televised space-action adult simulation figurine.

Aaaaah just got back from camping. Will begin first game within 24 hours or so.

This is Dead Man Running. I don't think the audience is going to care much.

Magnus appears confused. He struggles to remember what a "git" is, and fails to remember anything about the word. Regardless of what Emilio called him, he didn't like his tone.
You want to take this outside?

Ah of course.  But what kind of conspiracy?  Government, secret society, xeno, or scientific?

[4]Erm, media-driven? Your musings are rudely interrupted as a bunch of orderlies march everyone out.

"Wellhello, Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, lawyers, hoboes, thieves and other scroungers, dragons, unicorns, dogs and other fabled beasts, policemen, royal torturers and the productively unemployed to the second episode of DEAD MAN RUNNING!"

The camera pans out from the hosts's grinning visage to reveal the arena, audience only just streaming to their seats, while the central pit contains only four great square concrete pillars, reaching up from black waters below.

"Time to collect some DD, folks! Nearly last chance to bet before we get this show rolling!"

The pillars have North, South, East and West marked on them, arranged in a square. Nothing else is present in the arena, yet.

The contestants are taken to a chamber with an oddly subterranean atmosphere, and the muffled lapping of waves against granite can be heard far above them.

"Come on then!" chirps the host, rushing down a flight of stairs and into the centre of the room, "Now, we need a volunteer from each team! Who wants to drive?"
