"Hah, 4 aces!  Time to pay, Janeway!"

Zack flashes his cards triumphantly.  He has 4C, JD, AS, KH, and 10C.

((I didn't actually notice that it wasn't really four aces at first. Now I feel much better about my chances.
And a little bit scared of getting Nun killed yet again. <_<))

((Not to worry, dying seems to be what my characters are good at.  In any case, I don't think this is an elimination round?  So it's possible he'll survive.  Technically.))

((It's to death or incapacitation, but I'm not sure if attacks at zero armor are likely to not kill you...
Well, better you than me. *ER laughs.))

"It appears that Zack enjoys betting on a weak hand... betting very heavily. Oh well, Janeway, you keep the Global Flush hand. And, Zack, you seem to have lost all your protection. You can still chip away at Janeway's, I suppose, though you're unlikely to survive that long..."

The cube Zack stands in melts, and he finds himself on the cold arena floor, separated from Janeway by a thick wall of metal and plastic. Though the hands haven't been dealt yet, a single card flutters down from the rafters. The King of Hearts, a normal deck this time, with a famous misprint.

The suicide king.

A sword thumps to the floor beside it.

((I'm confused, do I play the global flush or what?))

If you want to. I'll deal the cards again later tonight.

Guess I'll go ahead and play everything I can.
"Sorry Zack. You should face your death with your eyes open."

Zack's eyes remain closed.  "You'll never break me!"

Take the sword.  Dodge?

Janeway carefully places the two hidden suit cards against the wall. They stick, and after a brief pause, slowly fade from view.

Immediately long wounds, deep enough to cause pain but not enough to disab;e him, open up along Zack's arms, legs and torso. Diadems of blood rush out into the air, but the wounds stop bleeding curiously soon, while purple, raw red and greening bruises and marks travel along their length, erupting from either side, the stench of decaying flesh cloying the air about the suddenly decomposed contestant.

Zack staggers, but regains his balance as the infection slows and stops. The wounds are disfiguring, but not life-threatening. The twin columns of water churning down at him from either end of the arena are. But Zack simply grabs the sword and lies flat on the ground, letting the waters wash over him and flatten, before kicking up and gasping for breath, treading over twelve feet of water.

A new hand is dealt. Zack is forced to swim for his cards.

Zack lies back and floats while grimacing in pain.  "Augh, *splutter* what did you DO?"

"This will be much easier for both of us if you would just die."
