Klauze III (Warhammer 40k suggestion game)
« on: August 29, 2015, 04:27:30 pm »

The Governor of the planet is handed a secret messege by a tech priest. Everone is overworked in the palace of the Governor and highly agitated. The Governor reads the following messege and..

--Imperial news network--

Ork Invasion has hit Klauze III. The Planet has held for a remarkable 2 month invasion against the invasion by a Orc Warlord named Deap Blak. Casualties are unknown due to ongoing conflict and danger. Estimates at 10,000 on the first month proved vastly understated and have not been updated or improved. Planetary PDF has announced that they are left with only 10% of original forces and relying heavily on militias, merceanaries, and Imperial Guard reinforcements. Imperial Guard regiments on the planet have been lost in the conflict due to loss of command, desertion, suacide of generals, and are throughly scattered with no communications to utilize.

More Imperial Guard Regiments have been sent and a request for help from a space marine chapter is being registered.

Signed,
Lazlo of division 4562 division of the Adeptus Ministorium

--End Messege--
...prays for help from the Emperor. Before he goes to sleep that night he thinks about what Space Marine chapter would help his crumbeling defenses repel the Orcs before the inquisition arrives for a final solution..

((Right then above is the story and below I imagine some warhammer 40k geeks enthusiasts like myself will post a chapter to come help this world. You can create your very own unique chapter or choose an already existing chapter such as the Blood Angels, Ultramarines, Space Wolves, etc.

Inside a spoiler you'll detail how many men your chapter has and if it follows the Codex Astartes. Each chapter will have 1000 men in total. Chapters will have 10 companies. Companies will have 100 men.

I would go on to say that the First company is to be considered your veteran company or terminator company, your tenth company to be a scout company, and for anything from 2-9 being assaults or whatnot. That said, if you create a space marine chapter that says screw those rules then you can create your internal organization differently.

The only thing you cannot deviate from is your 1000 man limit and the 1000 point rule. I'll allow some fudging if it's above only like 100 or so if it helps with authorizing your chapter. Other than that have fun guys i'll be back later today to pick a marine chapter.))

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the planet is a hive world, which for those that don't know is a big human farm for the imperial guard. Lots of people but ramapant corruption, crime, and at times herecy. That said there will be no daeminc elements in the game (unless I change my mind) and the focus will be you and the AI vs the Orks in a rng.

We are the Rainbow Warriors from the planet Prism.
The date of our founded has been lost to the passing aeons.

We use multi lasers as heavily weapons
We have most marines armed with heavily weapons or close combat weapons in a 40 / 30 spilt, the remander have normal bolters
We have 1055 battle brothers ready.
(What's the the 1000 point rule?)

1000 marines.

The 1k rule is how many point s you can use for your chapter in terms of armaments. I basically inputted that to prevent 1000 terminators or dreadnoughts or something OP like that.

Funk if you can break down which marines have multilasers and which have normal bolters that'd be great.

Example:

500 have multi lasers
500 normal bolters.

Each company has 50 Multilaser H.Weap marines and 50 marines with bolters.

Just for refrence. By the way I am using the 6 edition rules and i'm going from the top of my head.

((I'll accept the last suggesion but say that your 200 chainsword also run into battle with a bolt pistol at hand also.

I know it may sound like a hassle but please organize them in to companies. Your suppose to have 10 if you follow the Codex but if you want to be a rebel you may have more or less with differing structures.

An example would be 50 Heavies marines with 40 bolter users and 20 close combat specialists. All as one compnay of 100. 100 being an easy example to follow by. If left alone i'll arrange them myself later tonight or tommorow.

If there is anyone else you are free to post a chapter still.))

100 man companies with 50 Heavy weapon marines, 30 bolter users and 20 close combat specialists.

The remaining 55 are not assigned a role under the Rainbow Warriors codex so they serve to fill in for injured or dead marines.

((Okay just out of curisoity why did you make the first 3 types add up to 1k exactly but 55 seem to right after? I'm really not sure what kind of chapter this is but it works so meh. But I'm trying to decide whether or not to redact those 55 pistoliers out and just say that your chain sword guys are dual wielding.

Surprised no one has created any other marine chapter.))

I have a chapter idea. Gimme a bit to write it up. I have developed the Imperial Voices fairly decently, after all. How much background description do we need/would you like?

Ooh! Ooh! Can we have a laser minigun?

Sure go ahead.

Basic. A small history paragraph like history would be great.  I only require something like below in w.e way you guys fill it. Funk your input is fine but a little dry. Besides why do they call themselves the rainbows? I'd love to know that reason  :)

"The Emperial voices were created because/whenn *Stuff*. They have since fought on seaveral conflicts with their signature brand of *Input whatever it is that your chapter does best in your mind in terms of killing/tactics*. Long live the Emperor and these blessed warriors."

Sorry for the double post but I wanted to link this site to help anyone with making their chapters history/organization.

http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Space_Marine_Chapter_Creation_Tables

It's a bit tongue and cheek but still helpful. Also I'll be picking a chapter sometime around 2:00 Eastern time zone. See ya then friends.  :)

I was thinking that the chapter is telling people that they only have 1000 men, so they can only get 1000 proper guns.

Ooh! Ooh! Can we have a laser minigun?
Aren't multi lasers basicly laser miniguns?
Some quick roles on table 3man75 posted.

The Rainbow Warriors Gene-seed purity is free of deficiencies or flaws.
There home world of Prism the is a feral desert of crystals and fill with giant scorpions.
It is ruled only distantly by the chapter being only visited for recruiting.
Recruiting happens only once every decade due the vast travel time back to Prism.
The chapter believe in the supremacy of laser based weapons.
They have close links with the Adeptus Titanicus, because ever body likes lasers and huge robots.
There most hated enemy's are the Tau, they don't respect our lasers.

No 1000 Space Marines are all armed equally. They don't have weapon shortages or something like that at least in the beggining. Opps spoiler alert.

Also Yes I think mini-guns and multi-lasers are the same. But I would say that the minigun fires more primitive lead bullets into the Orks as a astethics type of thing unless Moonlit can show me what they do exactly.

I made a chapter myself which i'm going to post on inside two spoilers. This one won't be used at all nor do you guys need to copy it's long background history. I just did it for fun and to show off :)

The actual roles...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

And the history bit.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Again you don't need to use the tables or the books as long as you create a space marine chapter with at least 1000 brothers in arms and a name. Putting on extra things like history, tactics, and etc will grant that poster extra points and will be chosen as the chapter by myself since I think that will make it a great story element. Anywhoo can't wait to see what you guys have. Funk is still the only participant as of yet.

@Funk
Go home C.S. Goto you're drunk

And 3man75; since I was basically just gonna copy/pasta my stuff from there anyway, here's my suggestion. :p

Sorry for the crappy format, and there is more than just that first post for what of it's been developed. Never did get to making that Index or something, did I?

Ladies and Gentleman we have the acapella choir boys who like fighitng the Orks. wow I never thought Space Marines could be so unique.

How I see things panning out with this chapter if I pick it and the thing I like:

So what I like about them is besides the fact that librarians get the shaft for these Orators come into the picture and ((Sing)) take the part of the psykers of their chapter.

The Inquisitorial ship that is incoming is probally going to go even faster now that the Imperial Voices decided to step in.

Oh and like the Salamanders they actually care about their suppose to be brothers in arms. Oh and the Sisters of Battle come also to sing with them. Bolter Bee's FTW. Seriously why isn't there more about them :(.

Thing I Don't like:

Dammit man do I have to post this for you? Can't you just shorten it or put in a spoiler for people to see without going to that terribly dark background website.

All in all pretty good. Also besides not being a Codex Astartes chapter do they add up to 1k?

If so great. They still use bolters and such right? I mean the singing seems like a morale booster/quirk.

Not counting Sister of Battle accompaniment or staff/marines not part of the primary Choirs, yes, they add up to 1000. (if you look at how many marines would actually be necessary to man vehicles and stuff, in addition to infantry, it ends up being more than 1000 even(or maybe especially) for people like the Ultramarines. 16*60=960, plus 40 is 1000. Yeah, they still use Bolters as basic weapon of choice, and for heavy weapons they probably let Sisters of Battle handle the flamers and meltas, most of the time, but essentially that's how it goes. Each Choir is specialized, as well; they aren't identically built for flexibility like most Chapters' Companies are.

Sorry, I use Darkling anyway so it's not a problem I usually notice. >.< And I would have it in an Index Astartes if I had ever gotten around to it, which is far better formatted. I actually think I have it partially done somewhere...
