I don't usually pay attention to group names, but once I genned a fort named Barship.

Even though it was an underground fort, I imagine it was an actual flying ship inhabited by dwarves and every room was a bar. Basically a dwarven Valhalla.

I think I can recall a fort with the name of cryptdances.  (Sadly, no necromancers to make the name complete, let alone undead.  Heck, no real deaths were had!)

Also think I'll like guardshot as a fort name.

Swordbent....

iirc that was the name of my first(successful) fort.

Then there was Realmsmine, which I though was a decent moniker.

I had one called The Bodice of Chains, and all the nobility in the mountainhomes were female dwarves...

Civilization names in general are good for a laugh, and this Elven one from a newly-genned world stands out: "The Buff Skunk."

The civilization didn't quite live up to its name, repeatedly pillaged as it was by a certain Goblin civilization at two different points in its history. It did, however, manage to do rather well against a human civ, in between those two points.

Wait for the next update. There should be both temples and dances!

My current fort Bridgepower was founded by Walls of Sieging.
There are four civilizations around. Try to guess which one is Dwarven/Human/Elven/Goblin:
  • The Romantic Empires
  • The Lantern of Earth
  • The Lie of Direction
  • The Crazed Tundras

Two old favorites of mine:  Sacksizzled and Largebusts.

Civ name: The Messianic Hammers

+

Group name: The Crypt of Infamy.

F*ck yeah.

Also, a first artifact panda bone hammer named Elderquake. Sounds pretty high-fantasy, on the cool names front.
