So I have my first squad for this fort, archers, and I want them to spend every sixth month in my courtyard to avoid cave adaptation. I made a note for the place I want them to be and am setting them to station there in the schedule, but they just won't stop training!

Comments about how I'm doing things wrong otherwise are also welcome, but mainly I'm just trying to get them to stop training.

Are they doing individual skill training or actual training (sparring, demonstrations, etc)?
If it's the former, it's possible that your training schedule isn't activated (they'll often do individual training without an active schedule if they've nothing more interesting to do).
Otherwise check the training location is accessible (burrows, rivers or whatever).
