Flat out ignoring the votes for the 'no' choice made after I 'no'ed it:
+3 for Prince Albert the smart, with a court magician. (... Really, guys? Really?)
+3 for --- the smart, with a spymaster.
+2 for Albert the charming, with a spymaster.
+1 for everything with a spymaster
Winning plan: uwotm7 the smart, with a spymaster.
GM fiat alters to Albert the smart, with a spymaster.
You are Albert (Now Doge Albert), an unusually intelligent dog, and are smart enough to understand death, and that going near battles, with their swinging sharp things and blasting things, would be a bad idea. Most humans don't seem to get it.
Master sent Galdino Ferri with you, to help and advise. You've always liked Galdino. They say he's really good at figuring out what other humans think. He carries several weapons at all times, and acts like anyone could attack him. He's good at giving belly rubs, so it's forgivable.
He called, so you stopped watching the water to visit him.
"There you are. We have nearly arrived. There are a few places we could land, and the decision is yours.
The first landmass is Acelytusai. The majority of Essely's artisans live here, and it has a small iron mine. It's nearing depletion, but provides good quality ore. There was moderate fighting here during the war.
The second landmass is Galel. It is lightly populated, mostly concentrated around the coasts in fishing towns and villages, with the occasional farmstead. Much of the region's fishing is done from here. There was minimal fighting here.
The final major landmass is Dilymamaeo, the traditional capital of Essely. The heaviest fighting took place here. The area is likely badly damaged, with more upset or rebellious people. The castle needs heavy repairs, but it would be far easier to do so than to fortify another area. This area has the highest population, mostly farmers, with some skilled shipwrights.
The smaller islands are yours as well, but I emphatically advise against basing ourselves on an area both difficult to defend and far from anything of value."
