Zombie Gorlak>Forgotten Beast
« on: August 21, 2015, 08:27:38 am »

So, an FB was wandering around in my caverns, it pwns a gorlak, and the gorlak gets up again, because evil biome. The zombie gorlak then kills the FB. Is this a bug? It seems like a bug, because live gorlaks can't kill a dwarf civilian.

Some FBs get pwnd by civilian dwarves.  Depends what body parts and materials it has.

I think the best improvement for FBs and Titans would be to just allow them to breed, with FBs and Titans being generated in breeding pairs. Then you could in time end up with some sort of Darwinian future where your world is populated with the most brutal of megabeasts.

While zombies are a bit strong this version, forgotten beasts can be incredibly weak.

As terrifying as a eldricth monstrosity twisted into the shape of a giant one eyed tick is. it still may or may not have its heart/brain clearly visable and glowing for all to poke with sticks.

also, FB/Titan breeding sounds bleh. Summoning or creating is more flexible.

FBs are not so strong, especially when the target is immune to their "x-men power" (in this case, zombies are immune to poison).

If it were flaming or webby, the zombie would have ended up as either charcoal or zombie cutlets.

I'm new to succession forts in general, yes, but do all forts designed by multiple overseers inevitably degenerate into a body-filled labyrinth of chaos and despair like this? Or is this just a Battlefailed thing?

There isn't much middle ground between killed-by-dragon and never-seen-by-dragon.

Fleshy, one-eyed tick with poison bite.

Okay, definitely.  The tick doesn't have a lot of body parts so one strong blow to its cephalothorax or abdomen will completely dispatch it.  The gorlak's gorlackness will have been completely replaced with zombieness, which gives it plenty of power to knock out the tick.

You must have a dual good/evil biome then, since gorlaks are good only.

No, Gorlaks are neutral. I've never even played a good biome.

try maxing out ore in the world creator, then minimize savage and evil...

as for gorlacks: i once had 5 of them kill two fbs in a fight.
