Planetary Governor (SG)
« on: August 19, 2015, 07:57:42 am »

With the death of the old, comes the rise of the new. You are Planetary Governor, bestowed by the holy grace of the Emperor the rights and responsibilities of your world. You are free and fit to rule your world however you desire, as long as you meet the annual Tithe. If not, the consequences will be severe.

+++DEPARTMENTO MUNITORUM CONFIDENTIAL+++
Name:
Gender:

World-classification:
-Hive World (Population will be increased to Teeming. Heresy will be increased to Vile.)
-Agri-World (Food will be increased to Overflowing. Population will be decreased to Sparse.)
-Forge World (Tech will be increased to Relic. Food will be reduced to Dependent.)
-Shrine World (Heresy will be decreased to Pure. Supplies will be decreased to Pitiful.)
-Feral World (Rivalry will be reduced to Calm. Acceptance will be reduced to Spiteful.)
-Death World (Hardmode. Everything is reduced. Defense is the highest of all worlds.)

World Name:

Pick bodyguard:
-Deathwatch Space Marine (More of a forward scout than a guard, he is here to assess the xeno problems in the sector. Your safety is a secondary concern. However, being an Astartes, you becoming his secondary concern is protection enough.)
-Sororitas Canoness (Enforcing both the Creed and your authority, she swiftly brings down the Emperor's fury on the heretics who would betray Him.
-Mechanicus Magos (He ensures that the Machine Spirits are both revered and used to their fullest capacities, having manufacturing levels soar to unprecedented heights. As the Omnissiah wills, of course.)
-Sanctioned Psyker (He protects not your body, no, you would not have him anywhere near you, lest the masses saw you cavort with his kind. No, the psyker protects you from afar, and he protects your mind and soul.)
-Death Cult Assassin (Rival families soon find their heirs dead after insulting you. You know who to thank.)

Pick background:
-Astra Militarum Veteran (Strong ties with the Imperial Guard. Increased defense and increased acceptance.)
-Ecclesiarch (Strong ties with the Ecclesiarchy. Increased acceptance and reduced heresy.)
-Technosavant (Strong ties with the Machine Cult. Increased Tech and increased defense.)
-Rogue Trader Dynasty (Tied to a powerful Dynasty, spanning far beyond your own world. Increased supplies.)
-Ganger (Strong ties to the common people and the dregs of society. Increased acceptance and reduced rivalry.)

Feel free to suggest how your planet will be run. A complete autocracy, a feudal society or even a liberal democracy. Also suggest the appearance, personality and history of the Governor. If none are suggested, I'll make it myself.

Name: Claudia Salvia
Gender: Female

World Classification: Hive World
Bodyguard: Canoness
Background: Technosavant

Ordalia VI is Hive World recently reconquered from rebellious traitors. Being a Hive World possessing advanced manufactorums (the kind one does not usually see outside Sector Capitals and minor Forge Worlds), when te planet was reconquered, Claudia Salvia, member of the Noble Salvia family, was chosen to be the new Planetary Governor, as the Salvia family is known to breed ruthless men and women, and Ordalia VI needs a strong iron fist to rule it tightly. Lady Claudia was an student of the ancient technology, tutored by techpriests that she had hired thanks to her family's strong ties to the Adeptus Mechanichum.

Had she been born on a Forge World, she would have become a Tech-Priestess, and would have probably rised to the position of Magos. But even without augmentation and without being a formal member of the Cult of the Omnissiah, she is a devout follower of their faith. That meant that when she was told she would have to work with the Adepta Sororitas that had liberated the planet, she was rather... Uncomfortable.

Lady Claudia usually dresses in rich red dresses and tunics, that contrast with her long, blonde hair. As a noble, she tires to keep a good appearence, but she is not as obsessed over it as other nobles. Her right eye is a bionic replacement of the finest quality, as she lost her eye during a shooting practice when she was thirteen. She always carries a gun of some sort. Usually a las pistol or stub gun, but sometimes, when trying to make a real impression, she will display her Bolt Pistol, a birthday gift from her father when se became an adult. She is not the best shooter, but she can defend herself in a desperate situation, although not very efficently.

After all, Lady Claudia is more comfortable when working with servoskulls, servitors and machines, and like the machines she loves, she is ruthless and willing to take a cold, cruel decision before even considering things such as feelings. She hopes to be able to get some replacements for her weak flesh soon, and if she had a choice, she would join the Cult Mechanichus. However, she knows has a duty to her family and the Imperium of Man, and she is willing to do her part.

Inspired by Dune

Name: Aedan Goron.

Gender: Male.

Appearance: Goron is a tall man, with a muscular body, he has a visible military stance, usually wearing his uniform with pride and grit. He also wears armor he bought while he still fought in wars. He has his grey hair cut in a crew cut style and he is clean shaven. He has a lot of artificial organs, like his kidneys, heart, lung and liver, and most of his other organs are either at least with supportive implants or are one of these biologically grown ones.

Background: Goron is a man born one hundred sixty eight years ago, kept alive and in good condition by new organs and limbs that are biologically grown. His oldest living relative is his great grandson, who is 83. Goron is, or at this point rather, was a high ranking officer in the Emperor's guard, and he was there when he assumed power. While Goron started out as a field officer, he quickly got the rank of Major and later even Colonel. An unsuccesful campaign was the excuse given by the Emperor to remove him from power. He was kind enough to give him something to rule over, he was bright enough to not waste the potential of Aedan's skill. The ex-Colonel was given a spit-covered piece of stone and was told to change this place into the apple of the imperial eye. Nothing can probably withstand the harsh condition of the planet, nobody would live here if given a chance, the land is barren and poor, it's a technological backwater, whoever lives on it is a heresy riddled hateful motherfucker with a death wish.
What could be a better place to turn into a prison planet?
What could possibly go wrong?

World Name: Macero Primoris.

Specifics: Death World; Deathwatch Space Marine; Astra Militarum Veteran.

I plan on running the planet into a totalitarian oppresive prison planet to train the best and toughest army in the existence and either take over or establish our Guard as the most elite of all units there is.

"Claudia Salvia, entrusted and chosen by the Emperor, and the Omnissiah, the world of Ordalia IV is given to you to rule."

Trumpets flare and the marching band commences its cadence. Thousands of loyal citizens cheer, but you can see the skulking dregs of Ordalia muttering and glaring. No matter; they will not ruin your day of ascension. The abbey of Sororitas begins playing a choir, showcasing the feats of the Salvia family, divinely ordained by the Emperor.

A statue is unveiled; a great, marble monument of you standing atop the rebels, crushing them and placing the where they belong; under your boots. The loyalists cheer more, but you distinctly hear angry muttering.

Three hours later and the ceremony is finished. You are escorted home by various Sisters of Battle in an armored autocarriage. Your planetside abode is a great hive spire all to yourself, a city in its own right, for your personal use. Nearly a million Imperial servants rush to greet and assist you as you enter the hive.

In the topmost hab-block of the spire is your lavish quarters, for both rest and relaxation, as well as protection and sanctity. Inside the room is the Canonness Vanessa Imperia, the Canonness of the Orders Famulous, liason and bodyguard of you, the Planetary Governess.

She looks at you scornfully. "I see no sense in setting one such as you as Governess. The title should have been given to one of pure faith and credence." A portly man shuffles uncomfortably and clears his throat. Imperia sighs. "But, the Emperor wills it. I will protect you to the best of my ability."

You nod respectfully. The soft-spoken portly man takes his turn to speak. "Great, powerful, beautiful Claudia Salvia! A pleasure, a true pleasure to meet you!" He clears his throat again and tries to make himself big and important, but his short stature and weak frame juxtaposition his intended image. "My name is Lord General Phagius! I have command of the Ordalia IV regiment; any needs you have, feel free to call. The Guard are at your disposal."

Finally, the sway of red robes and the familiar buzz of Lingua-Technis has you face a welcome sight; Tech-priest Matrix. He speaks in Binary, something you'd learned in your tutelage. "Greetings: SALVIA, Claudia. Welcome to: HAB-BLCK I, Spire I, Ordalia Hive Prime, Ordalia IV. Offered assistance: All options available."

Without having the implants to speak Binary, you merely thank him in Low Gothic, but the message is all the same. With a deep bow, Matrix ushers everyone else from the room. Later on you may speak with other officials and advisors, if you wish, or leave it to the Adeptus Administratum. Or you could take a tour around Ordalia IV. Anything is possible, now that you have your own planet. Brother would be proud of you.

Speaking tour to help spread our word and intentions to our people.

Topic Glory to the Emperor and his eternal devine will.

Point 1. Dealing with separatist/rebel forces and those who systematize with them.

Point 2. Expanding food supply.

Point 3. Creation of a Football soccer league club in each city for entertainment.

Closing long live the Emperor.

Also we should consult with all of our advisers and ask about what our rivals are up to. We may need to start a sting operation on them before open war starts.

EDIT: Oh and +1 to Funk's suggestion. We should aim to take our disgrunted rebels and our rivals. Two birds with one stone.
