Revision : HX-1

By utilizing a more complex engine, and several chemical additives, corrosion and boiling issues have been resolved. Cost has remained the same.

1. We need to research on their carapace.

Yeah, Study alien cadavers, with special focus on the carapace. If we're lucky we can give our men armor piercing rounds to deal with them, and if we're really lucky we can find useful applications for an imitation. Cadaver study is important in the short term so we can identify targets, and long term to lay the foundations for more targeted development.

Spoiler: Top Secret (click to show/hide)

Assuming that this is official I vote for

I doubt that we have their carapace captured and it is hard to research without direct testing.

I vote for
Anti-laser armor theory
because I want to design a land vehicle next turn

GM, word on this? If we have a sample I stand by my suggestion, but otherwise I'll +1 the research on laser countermeasures.

if we have a sample I support studying their biology and natural armor

Well, the aliens were quite thourough in destroying and cleaning up after their attacks. On the other hand, they probably couldn't take everything.

So this will be determined by rolls.

Study biology of our enemy: Analyse video recordings and after action reports of surviving soldiers. Analyse alien blood spills, body chunks, natural armor shard or full corpses if we are lucky enough

Research :

The Invaders were quite thorough in their attacks, leaving no survivors. However, they could not destroy everything, and from the destroyed remnants of the ones that were slain we have gained some information. The alien biology is quite unlike ours, so some scientists estimate that they could not survive here for prolonged periods, thus explaining the hit and run attacks. We have found that their armor gains it's strength primarily from it's thickness, but also from what appear to be naturally occurring carbon fibers. The occurrence of such complex carbon fibers seems unlikely, suggesting that the species might be engineered, rather than natural.

Research gained :

- Basic Alien Biology
- Alien Carapace Study

Given you some more time for production, if you want to change anything.

10ebbor10, will design like this work or we need to develop the helmet and assault rifle separately?
