Lasers don't work well underwater, and their only underwater unit is one submarine. I think we need something to allow us to crush the resistance on land.

Spoiler: Karst Land Raider (click to show/hide)

As for tactics, I think we should attempt to draw their force in SA and crush them. They don't even have proper ground units yet, so our K'ik should do the job.

We should prolly ensure the laser functions underwater though.

Feel free to convince me using some technobabble that it should. As current, the laser would work but loose power fast.

It would prolly be better to use kinetic shells underwater.

Even better, what about a swarm of small, fast maneuverable drones that attach to the hulls of the ships and cut them open.  Bonus points for building new drones out of the sunken vessels!

Well, basing on what Kevak said, why not try developing Gauss weaponry or the like, slap it as the main cannon on Sheb's and we've got a design that boosts us in two ways rather than one.

Karst-Pattern Hovertank
An armoured vehicle similar in role to those in service with human militaries. Utilising a large gauss cannon as it's primary weapon, and a much smaller one as a coaxial gun. On top of the main turret, a small pulsed laser array using plasma lenses functions as an anti-projectile system, shooting down missiles on course for colliding with the tank. The propulsion system uses a cold fusion reactor (Think Battletech) to provide the power to the entire vehicle whilst ensuring that fuel is no issue (And an engine explosion is a near impossibility) The armour on the craft should be built to the point where a direct hit from a human artillery shell is capable of being shrugged off once atleast, and multiple rounds from their tanks.

The Hovertank could function over water also.

Needs to be renamed. Not sharp enough.

To make fuel not an issue why not use a tritium-deuterium fusion reactor that just extracts from the water around it?  Since a fusion ramjet was a relativity simple project I think this would be trivial as well.

Eh, I'm not being specific on what the reactor uses as fuel, there's plenty of it in-system.

Didn't we explicitly state for the combat dropships to have weapons?

We can just revise the weapons to be put onto it, no big deal :P

They have weapon ports to mount weapons... but no weapons?
