Would there be any benefits to sending our reserves with TF Alpha?

Actually, why don't we send Shadow Strike to Europe with very limited forces, to try to capture some high-level humans and convince them to take to our side. You know, Spec Op thing using our new political science?

4 soldiers 4 dropships sound about right, we might take losses but hitting multiple fronts seem like a good idea.  We cna take 4 soldiers from alpha and 4 dropships from the reserve.

We don't have a reserve anymore. How about 2 Dropships and 3 Soldier Caste, to keep Alpha at full strength?

Ok, it seems clear that the actual dropping is our main issue. Their air defense, even spread around half the globe was able to down one of our dropships.

Apparently, orders of "counter-attack wherever the enemy strike" are also valid, so we can't just assume we will have the strategic initiative.

I think we need either some kind of ground transport (we have a staging base in SA), or point defense for our drop pods.

They are valid, but they have drawbacks.

Well, if you have naval or air superiority, you can try shooting down their transports.

We have both naval and air superiority due to our orbital superiority.

Not really, we don't have orbital weapons, and we didn't detail our Ki'K to shoot their transport. We should probably do so next time.

For this turn's design, I'd like to see some kind of cheap, surface-to-air laser, that can be produced cheaply and used to defend South America.

Missiles seem very useful, and the gauss weapons are very effective.

We could build orbital defense satellites capable of tracking and taking down targets in the air somehow?

Or stealthy dropships, if we can use the more efficient engines to enter the earth's atmosphere without making a massive heat signature (because we can simply slow down rather then making a ballistic landing) and having some sort of stealth coating we could be landing without issues.  Our main issue with them responding is they have hours of warning before our landings, if it was minutes instead we could land our troops before they can hit us in the air.

I feel like adding an anti air laser to our Karst tanks would be a better idea rather then a new line of defensive weapons.

If we do make anti air laser batteries they need to be able to take out everything from jets to missiles at low altitude or in the upper atmosphere.
