The only problem with this action is that if you evolve an ant it doesn't get an action

So let me see if I understand base building right:

1)  Each hex is actually four hexes; levels 0 [surface], 1, 2, 3.

2)  Each hex-level can have one structure; level 0 can only have Ant Hill.  Ant Hill is the only way in and out.

3)  If there's more than one connected Ant Hill, the colony can be used as a movement shortcut (since colony only counts as one hex.

4)  Each structure takes one hex and must be connected to another hex.

5)  I could dig a long way in one direction to, say, cross water or find more fertile ground elsewhere.


Am I getting it?

So, everyone has posted an action, but four of the actions are a little broken, because of this:
All ants o the same kind, with the same amount and type of evolutions, are a single group. You cna make one action per group. the exceptions to this rule are a)you can evolve a portion of a group and act with the remainder, and b) scouting, which requires a minimum of 5 ants.

note: for something like digging, ordering 100 ants to dig 2 rooms counts as one action - essentially they spend half a turn digging the first, and half a turn digging the second. And yes, please include which level you dig on. :D

I was not aware that splitting identical ant types was not allowed. What's the reason for that?

Ah ... Azkanan, I believe the levels are L0 is aboveground, and L3 is lowest. You have your diggers working on L0, or above ground. I assume you wanted them at the lowest level?

Sheb, do you want your diggers to dig Northwest, or Southwest?

The rationale is to prevent micromanaging, for one. It could get pretty complicated to track, especially for the GM. there are other issue, but that's most of it, if I recall.

50 ants dig a storeroom to the west.
25 ants dig a burrow to the east evolve into foragers.
25 ants evolve into foragers diggers (sorry).
