If you reproduce, do those new ants have to eat that turn?

If you move ants, can you move in non-straight lines? (like 2s 3se)  Do you get (temporary) vision on the tiles you walk through?

yes, yes, and yes if you want you can do the movement a little bit at a time via pms

Giving waitlisted people the ability to murder non-responsive players was a great idea. Need to do that more often.

If the movement order was invalid (say, ran into water) would the ants just stop with movement points leftover?

Foragers forage, ants evolve into diggers.

The question remains :P I'd guess you'd flood out - it's a flowing water source. Maybe you'd have time to collapse a tunnel next turn to prevent full flooding of your nest, but ... I'd say that if you dug into a tile that was water, on level 1, all ants digging that square would immediately drown, and all available ants would have to redirected in "emergency mode" to close off tunnels, or have the colony destroyed. 25 diggers or 50 normals could seal a room in one turn (so you'd probably lose the room dug from in the turn you breach, and then a second room the second turn while sealing that second room from the main colony.

Really, if it were me, I'd probably be more cruel and have the water move much faster than that - one turn is one month or so, after all, and it's not like the rivers will be a surprise, so digging into them would be a careless mistake. I'd say that the water could flood at leastone full tile per turn in each direction. And that's still being generous. :P

in summary don't dig into water on level 1

Have 90 of my ants evolve into foragers, have the other 10 forage.

If ants can evolve and forage on the same turn:
Have all my ants evolve as foragers, then forage.
If not:
Have 90 of my ants evolve into foragers, have the other 10 forage.
each ant can either evolve or forage, but not both, in one turn. your second action will be the one done.
