Why does that matter?

I don't like the prospect of playing someone with no power unless they ally with highly morally questionable people.
I get enough of that from reality.

Define power. What have The Sworn done, that's evil? Not questionable (brainwashing enemy soldiers in the middle of a combat scenario is questionable, not flat-out immoral), but evil, as a group. Or, hell, questionable as a group.

Most of the 'evil' gods are alone. That's how selfishness works, most of the time.

Just gotta get clever about it, be diplomatic. Si wasn't really the best at that; she was a loner god, as you said.

Besides, one can always make use of pawns with less integrity than oneself to further good goals.

You guys are more impulsive than you are any specific alignment, it seems like half the time. Do a lot of stuff without any real impact to what you're doing, so far in the game. Plus, 'nice' and 'good' are not one and the same. It is perfectly possible to be quite kind, and yet diabolical.

Although, really Happy Demon, what can you expect? Gods in mythical pantheons in real life are rarely perfectly nice or good(which it seems like that's what you're looking for? I dunno). Plus, these are the bay12 forums.
