One big question, why hasn't anyone tried to recruit the over brain into a pantheon?


I've been thinking of making an alliance with him, but I'm not sure how Zenurion and the over brain would get along considering their previous conflict. Not sure if he'd even accept, even though the temporary team up might be the start of something.

Considering that the over brain is the god of evolution and would get a discount to changing preexisting creatures...

They're also a race, rather than agents. Might be wrong, but my gut feeling is that agents have a 'relevance/plot-armor' boost. Also can't reproduce to create more of themselves, most of the time, but hey. Trade-offs.

Magic might not by useful directly, but it still helps if they use it to help one another. I would think, anyway. Still, artifact weapons.

I based their appearances/themes off all the gods in our Pantheon save Nogis (the biggest reason of which is that I forgot him because he doesn't yet have his own distinct 'theme', so to speak, really), plus Si, Sylvan, Morko, and Quelor, I believe.

So, out of curiosity, what does the one based on Jixiu look like and wield as its weapon?

Weapon, I'm not certain of. I didn't specify for all of them. Probably a flail or a bunch of chains or the like. Something sweeping. Appearance, probably a lot of much smaller arms, looks like a half-finished construction project that decided to try finishing itself or something.

Still deciding what Talios's looks like. Bunch of Sickles, maybe?

T11 progress: Currently working on PMs, finishing the last 10 or so (although since I process fastest-first, this will likely take a few hours).

Poll updated.

Lawmode, for those who didn't participate in 0ld YG, was intended to serve as a framework to organize player-player dispute resolution through argumentation and later voting. It resembled Anglosphere courts only superficially and lacked a true judge, mostly being a form of mob justice.
For:
  • It allows settling disputes without turning to extreme things like deicide or genocide, thus limiting the extent of revenge
  • It can bring in less involved parties unaffected by the disputes
  • It mostly replaces smaller mob justice, e.g. by individual pantheons? Not sure on this point yet.
Against:
  • It was known to be too slow, resolving only once a Tick (perhaps YG2 Lawmode business can instead resolve in a set number of hours
  • It was weak in that it rarely managed a good resolution in time
  • It was too strong in that when it acted, it acted too strongly (probably because of the absence of a unified set of punishments for crimes)
  • About half of the first 20 players or so don't want a universal power structure like 0ld YG's Council

I don't like it.
Mostly because it has no actual resemblance to a court and more resembles the current (and ineffective) method of "Voting on everything but taking way too long to get anything done."

Not sure if saying so is an IC in OOC thing or what, but we'd need the Council or similar for something like that, and it would be silly to make any proposals while it's existence is up in the air.
