Edit: What I'm saying is that there's no reason to oppose beyond trying to abuse the council to get an advantage, they're not like THE OVER BRAIN's creation that menaced to take over people's creation.

No, the opposing MECHANIC is separate from the oppose VOTE.
Also, considering likely allegiances, it's sound tactics.
