That's not making it cheap enough, to be honest. It will only make an artifact as cheap as an angel and the angel will still have mechanical advantages.

Maybe, but its mostly the other stuff you are after anyway, right? Besides, we will find a way to steal the things inside your body. And besides that, most people aren't going to keep artifacts inside them, and many would probably like to grant them to Champions or Angels.

Isn't that what you voted in the pole? Its about as cheap as it needs to be. If you don't think so, don't make any. You can add some item-only downsides if you really want to make it cheaper.

I feel artifacts should be 'better' than Angels, comparing base to base. Angels have more agency on their own, after all, and aren't really designed to be used as an item, after all.

Many Shinjo would think you racist, you thinking that you can't be an item while still having agency. But in all seriousness, we're gods. If we want to design angels to be used as items, then by God we'll do it. Besides, destructible artifacts are inherently and mechanically worse than angel items and it wouldn't make sense if they weren't cheaper.

See, that's part of where I disagree with you, I think.

For one thing the 'because GODS' argument gets tiresome when one applies it to everything up to and including game mechanics.

For another, an item which you make via Angel to be better than an item on it's own should be more expensive, as a result of the cost-increasing traits you would have to give it that you wouldn't have to give the equivalent item.

Aka; those angels should be more expensive, items shouldn't be cheaper.
