Turning away, irritated at the impossibility before her, she realized that she must speed up the process of technology on other planets if she wanted to raise the growth of believers to more acceptable levels. She chose the biggest, most populated planet she could find, left behind by some obscure god who's temporary existence was sheer happenstance. She gave them pride and ambition where sloth and nearsightedness was rampant, and soon they began to advance at far greater speeds than before. They had rivalries, soothed quickly by the goddess, kept behind the mask of cooperation that now each creature wore. Soon the rockets were ready. Sure that each of theirs was better than the other's, they launched themselves into the air without heed. Those that survived began their journey towards the crystal planet. It would take but a single year, a mere blink of an eye to the goddess. She could easily wait the time. But what were the other gods planning in the meanwhile?

It was to quiet....

Grief should have attacked by now.....

Blaze expanded his senses, searching, looking for some trace of the god. He was startled to find nothing...

Had grief slipped back into the void between worlds to search for his pepole....or did he just want him to think that. What if he was waiting to strike, waiting until blaze brought them....

Nivahzen brought them happily to her planet. As the prideful beings left their spaceships, they looked in wonder at the beautiful planet around them, thinking of how they could exploit its unique resources. Then one of them found the tunnels. The stampede that followed killed three more, but Nivahzen didn't mind. She had already gone to find another planet. Another place at which to spread her word...

The defenseces were stronger than ever.

Days passed. Days of worrieing and holding back concern and panic......

Days of searching for grief first with senses. Then Physically.

He could not take it anymore. He had to see them. He had to.

And blaze gathered his energy, reaching into the void between worlds. Following his memory he groped in the darkness with tendrils of power, there is was. A chunk of land. His home, floating stationary in the void....he pulled it closer to the universe. Closer....

It slid into reality easliy....it's own bubble of exsistence merging in to the realities's bubble.

He could hear the joy resonating through there minds reaching him as they "prayed" in a certian meaning of the word.....the chunk of land touched down gently and merged with the planet.

Nivahzen grew spiteful once more. That was the piece of land she had been tailing for some time, waiting for it to stop. However, her resentment soon turned into innovation. As it drew close to the planet, the goddess possessed one of it's inhabitants. This plan would take long, but it's rewards would be great.

something was wrong.....

blaze had a habit of gazing into the minds of his people when he was idle. but....one of those minds was fuzzy....he couldn't get a read on it......it took a few minuets but he finally traced it...

that pesky goddess again.......would no one leave him and his creations in peace? his anger rose slightly but he calmed himself. he did not wish to fight now.....she would be dust beneath his anger and power, but he would remain calm.....for now......

he had, had enough of violence.....but something must be done.....

"GUARDIAN ZETA! TO ME!"
the angelic construct flew in.
"reporting."
"take this letter to...arhg. I never learned her name.....take it to the goddess of lies."
"of course"

it was time for a bit of diplomacy.

Spoiler:  the letter (click to show/hide)

Nivahzen read the letter and dropped it to the ground. SHe knew that if she didn't come, the sender would become very confused and suspicious. She couldn't miss an oppurtunity like that. But how could she attend without attending? The question chased itself in circles, around and around. In the end, she decided.

As the festival grew near there was much activity. Tables were carried, ribbons, and streamers draped across roofs.
Many people turned to there hobbies to make decrations.

Blaze busied himself with creating more things. Floating crystal lights, a stage for performances. A few new types of drinks.

Three more days to go....

Upon a battlefield between the factions upon the ice planet, the then-avatar of the former being Grief, now the Harbinger, was acting.  The forces under its control were severely reduced by earlier actions of the gods of this time.  In fact, they were in what would be considered to be their death throes with the limited number that remained.

Then the power once again acted.  The planet's crystal flared, and the remaining forces of the Harbinger were torn from the world.  They arrived at the location of the first crystal to have been discovered, and met with the resident beings.  An armistice was made between the races of the Crystions  and Skeletal Men.  With the influence of the Harbinger, the two races both began to work in single minded devotion towards the conquest of the other two crystals.

For a split moment, the entity who had fought Grief in the past believed to have felt their opponent's presence out in the asteroids, their own planet, and upon the gas giant, all simultaneously, fading near immediately after it was felt.

the festival was tomorrow....everyone had been made aware that the goddess of lies, may or may not be attending.....

nothing out of the ordinary for them actually, back before grief launched his attack that drove them from there home reality, there had been quite a few gods and goddess that blaze had tried to stay on good terms with (or at least maintain peaceful relations)

blaze sat back and thought, as he sometimes did. thinking about himself and the other beings he knew. so many gods were content to stay away from there creations....he was not. how many gods walked amongst there people? spoke with them casually? he did not just observe his world, though he enjoyed that to, he wanted to live in it....

soon his mind wandered over to potential creations, but none were particularly interesting at the moment.

-m'lord. I think its time-

ahhh he had almost forgotten. today was the day kiora's baby was to be born. he had promised to ensure an easy birth for her child. he could assist from here but he preferred to attend such events himself. with such a small population such an event was not an every day occurrence

-I will be there in but a moment-

a god can move VERY quickly when he wants to.

((just to check, im the entity that fought grief and he is the opponent your talking about right))

(Yes.  Though you only noticed him for a second and Grief's new power signature as the Harbinger would prevent you from knowing that Grief is now that entity.)

((not who?))

(Meant to put 'now' there.  And 'that entity' is referring to the Harbinger.)

Nivahzen felt the harbringer appear as well. She - however - was much closer, and knew that she could influence his motives. With that thought, she changed her decision: Maybe she shouldn't come alone. Maybe she could bring a guest with her. She wondered whether the harbringer would enjoy the festival.

Slowly, she sneaked tendrils of control into the mind of the harbringer. He should come. He wanted to come. Hewould come to the festival. And she would come too, her parasitic entity hidden by his radiating power.

A foreign impulse entered the mind of the Harbinger.  It was moot, as the one who had turned the being into this form had set upon it protections against such impulses by making the desire to control the three crystals through war to be so great, none could change the single minded focus it held upon them.  The only reason it had ever made the armistace with the skeletal beings was to reinforce his greatly weakened force and so that it could have an existing power base upon the planet so that it may gain the ability to replicate the technology implanted within its mind.
