Maliel gazed into the world's heart, and was shaped by what he saw. The very essence of the divine had been made a part of the world, but mortals would find it wild and unpredictable, hard to find and harder still to control. The stars that made up the Titan's very being quickened in response, points of golden light whirling to and fro in a beautiful, if chaotic, dance.

Even as Maliel savored his form's power, he realized that such unrestrained potential would go largely unharnessed. A great will was not something many possessed, even among sapient races. Something new was needed, a way to access divine power which was both like and unlike that great, wild dance.

The spirit reflected a great deal upon the necessity of order, but still he could not bring himself to chain magic. It was an odd dilemma, one that pitted the titan's thoughts and opinions against what was, for the time being, his nature.

And so, he compromised.

Maliel took a bit of wild magic- a mere handful, to a god, but to mortals it would seem a force unto itself- and he made wild creatures to house it. The Saen would take many forms- in fact, they could take any appearance they wished. However, Maliel gave them what amounted to a fatal flaw- they could not interact with existence. Their bodies were something at once both less and greater than physical, and they could not direct their own magic. They could be seen, in a way, and they could inform other beings of their emotions and intent, but unpaired, that was the extent of their powers.

However, the Saen had another, deeper strength, and that was their ability to bond with others. Should a wandering spirit encounter a sapient being, it may choose to form a link with them, creating a sort of symbiotic relationship in which both beings' strengths might play a roll. The sapient creature would have use of the Saen’s magic, which was powerful, given the will to direct it. In return, the sprite gained the ability to both enter and influence the material realm. Over time, the two would form a telepathic connection that was both strong and precise, allowing them to exchange meanings without so much as a moment lost.

The Saen would roam wild and free, reflecting the chaotic nature of the power they were shaped from. But, despite their wildness, they would join with others, forming relationships that were stronger than the sum of their parts. They were a part of both order and chaos, and with them, the use and power of what mortals might call “magic” would expand.

Clarification:  Are the Saen sentient themselves, or essentially bestial forces that can grant sapients access to magical power?

They're sentient, and, depending on the Saen, possibly borderline sapient. The concept behind them was supposed to be a spirit animal-type thing.

(Iituem, your naming skills are masterful.)

Marrow looked upon his creations and smiled a tusked smile. His creatures mingled, traded, and squabbled throughout the world. He then looked up and saw light was diminishing the magic of the surface world. He was opposed to this false light which dimmed the true power of the world. If such an act was to take hold upon this world, he would rise to surface and address it along with his fellows. This he pledged.

In the meanwhile he created a race of honorable knights to defend the dark places of the world. The Shadow Guard was a collection of ghosts who had once been heros and warriors of beneath the earth. Any sentient creature could be resurrected as a Shadow Guard, however their allegiance has shifted to defend the dark places of the world. They are composed of darkness as dense as flesh and bone. They can teleport to any shadow. They defend the deep places of the world from those who would bring them harm. They have been known to save innocent souls who have wandered too far into the depths and also to appear on battlefields. There is always 100 at any time. If one is slain, it is replaced or reforms within a day. When one speaks it sounds like an echo from deep within the earth.

Make Shadow Guard -10 points

Looking upon the world Marrow saw that it lacked danger. There was not enough things to fear and make the world interesting. He desired more danger in this world. To this end he created the Mole Wolves. A race of miles who have the shape and viciousness of wolves. They create tunnels within the crust of the world and hunt both on the surface and within the caverns. They live in packs and hunt by smell and sound. They have poor eye sight, but unrivaled smell and hearing. Their mouths are lined with sharp teeth and their nose is like that of a mole. Their body is otherwise wolffish. Their howls strike fear into all those who hear them, for they know that the mole-wolves can hear their heartbeats quicken.

Create Mole-Wolves -10 points

Golden Boughs are a distinctive style of tree, created specially as part of the forestry planted in Uth-Vel by the Artist (just moving standard trees and plants there costs no points).  They have the colour and shine of gold to their leaves, which slightly affects their ability to photosynthesise (chloroplasts are still in the leaves, just occluded by golden pigment).  They produce sweet blue fruit. [-10 points]

Shapir Lizards, a new type of animal, are tough, blue-scaled tetrapods that graze on mushrooms and fallen fruit.  Their hides are particularly tough and flexible. [-10]

Dreios, larger creatures similar to the shapir lizards, are much larger creatures with dull brown scales, fat bodies, slender legs and a fast pace.  They tend to eat fruit from trees, or taller mushrooms.  They make for good eating. [-10]

Ruby Snakes are similar to the shapir lizards, but limbless and slither across the ground.  Their skin, whilst thinner that that of their cousins, is covered in brilliant ruby-red scales.  They eat shapirs and sometimes bite and swallow infant dreios, as well as various movifungi. [-10]

Golden Birds are particularly good at hiding in Golden Boughs, as their feathers match the trees' colouration.  They dart down and eat shapirs, and sometimes flocks will work together to harrass an infant dreios and drive it away from its herd where they can do it sufficient injury for it to die.  Once an infant dreios dies, the flock descends upon the carcass like vultures. [-10]

The Seer of Memory is forged on Ur, a golden circlet that when placed upon one's head allows one to access the Memory Pyramid and search for specific memories without being driven mad.  However, the circlet only shields one from madness, and once taken off the insanity the wearer should have been subject to will all return at once.  It is taken into possession by the Canids, whose leader wears it. [-50]

The Tower of Stars sits upon the highest peak of Amparea, where it has a clear view of the sky.  One can operate the telescope there to view any star in the heavens, within the hemisphere of its operation.  Magnification allows one to see just the stars visible to the naked eye, or even distant galaxies whose light would normally be diffused by atmosphere. [-25]

Eaglekin are essentially giant, sapient eagles.  They have keen eyesight, are particularly intelligent, and can fly more capably than the Avioids, as well as having better natural weapons (talons and pounces).  On the flip side, they have no hands and have to try and work with beaks and claws, so their ability to make and use complex tools is somewhat limited.  They are situated in the mountains of Amparea, predating the creatures below.

Grazers, four-limbed herbivores, appear across the world and spread into the open plains of those lands, feeding on shrubs and ground fungi.

Birds of all shapes and sizes follow the Golden Birds into the world, including lesser eagles, and spread out over creation, settling wherever they can, save the dark caverns.

Magur, bestial creatures of living molten stone emerge from the magma flows of the volcanoes, the deep sea vents, even the caverns where they dip into the magma flows. keeping close to the fire that sustains them, devouring stone and reshaping it in their passage; as walls, as tunnels, as mounds.

Frost Serpents are created, gigantic sea snakes with a drive to roam, to swim and to feast.  They are trapped in the ice of the poles, kept alive but frozen by the magic that resonates through the ice caps.

Magical Negation: Reality around this star shifts, and the power of its light gains the capacity to dampen Radiance and weaken the powers of magic and magical creatures, so long as it is reflected from water ice.

Black Ice: All water ice no longer reflects light, turning completely matte black.  The moon, Cath, turns into a dark shadow in the sky, but its gravitational effects remain the same - when the two moons coincide in their phases, tidal waves will come.  Clouds are black in the sky, and snow is like falling soot, although rain is still clear.

Enos appear on the Gas Giant; sapient, winged blue humanoids capable of breathing oxygen and methane.  They can fly, as expected, but are particularly adapted for their light, buoyant home environment.  Enos fly at a reduced speed and manoeuvreability in the main world and are somewhat more fragile than other races.

Sky Trees take root on the back of Sky Lords, sinuous blue trees with red leaves that take root on the backs of Sky Lords.  They produce red citrus fruit, and spread by firing long range seed capsules at other Sky Lords.  The wood of a living Sky Tree can be shaped by a sapient being through force of will, but not in such a way that reduces or increases its mass (to increase, it must grow naturally).

The Warp Spire juts up through the centre of Uth-Vel, a spire of solid titanium.  It serves as an anchor for the Enos Teleport, a form of teleportation Enos can instinctively activate up to seven times in their lives.  When activated on the Giant (ideally a-back a Sky Lord), an Enos will teleport to the spire.  From the spire an Enos will return to the Sky Lord they left.  An Enos born on the world would teleport to whatever Sky Lord their mother left (or her mother etc. if that mother had never left a Sky Lord).

The Saen are shaped into being, flitting across the world in countless forms and natures, feeding on Radiance to sustain themselves and occasionally linking with a sapient being, granting them access to their innate magic.  They are manifestations of magic, incoporeal and illusory unless they are merged with the body of a sapient creature, and take the form of countless fantastical creatures.  However, they are not sapient themselves, posessing little more intelligence or self-awareness than animals.

The Shadow Guard who take shape in the bowels of the world are not truly sapient, but rather echoes of the spirits of those who die valiantly in the Underworld; living darkness with the strength of flesh and bone, pressed into the shape of heroes.  There are 100 of these at any time, and cannot be truly destroyed but instead reform elsewhere in the shape of another dead hero.  They cannot leave the underworld, but can teleport freely from and to any dark place beneath it.  Shadow guards are compelled to attack those of the surface who delve too deep beneath the world, and will sometimes appear randomly during underground battles to intervene on one side or the other.

The Mole Wolves are quadrupeds with wolf-like furred bodies and mole-like heads and snouts, lined with teeth.  They hunt in packs by sound and scent and can burrow through earth and solid rock.  They predate various creatures throughout the world.

(I think it should reflect light if it comes not from the star. This includes deflected sunlight, like moonlight or far away planets\stars. Sand\Ice should look like night sky and be a perfect way to detect the moon during the day. )

En was pleased. But some more variety for the Gas Giant would be good...

En uses 10 points to create Sky Bamboo, quick-growing rods that easily embed themselves in the softer outer carapace of the Sky Lords, and can easily be used for thatching, weaving, and construction. They spread by having rods of Sky Bamboo be thrust into said outer shell material.

Thrust into the outer shell material by the Sky Pandas(10 points), who consume Sky Bamboo as fuel for their highly efficient metabolism. They, like the other creatures of the Gas Giant, have wings(rather large ones in the Sky Pandas' case). They breed slowly but are quite adaptable. They have a special instinct which tells them to keep some Sky Bamboo for later consumption, or, if they are not in an area with Sky Bamboo in it, to thrust some of their kept Sky Bamboo into the carapace/goo/whatever it needs to grow. Sky Pandas are somewhat solitary creatures, and do not hunt other creatures(although they can consume the sky fruits and berries commonly found from the sky plants), but will defend themselves with extreme effectiveness if necessary.

En uses 100 points to create 4 Sky Spires, nomadic floating spires that float through the gas giant's storms and calm the weather somewhat wherever they pass. They also connect to the Polar Nodes to chain the lightning and thus extend the range to the equator regions. (If a Polar Node needs to remove something that is at the equator regions, it will shoot a bolt of lightning into one of the Sky Spires which will then send it to where it needs to go.) The Sky Spires are made of a highly durable titanium suspended in the air by magical buoyant stones embedded within it.

I considered that, but it screwed with my head too much.  Imagine a perfectly black field of ice, only when you bring a lantern near it, a pool of orangey-white ice stretches out around you.  Still, if that isn't too much of a mindfuck, it's possible.

((How about a compromise? We allow ice to reflect light, but only when it is treated with a certain substance. The substance would be rare, but would prevent the ice from melting, make it more durable, and allow it to weaken magic. Maybe we could make it come from various magical springs/wells/sources that dot the surface of the world, so as to conserve points.))

Wild forces of magic will bring much suffering and chaos to the world but other titans are determined to prevent it. Ashteh had no enough force to go against will of other titans. Ones who will come after titans will have to fight magical forces

Create 3 meter-long scepter made of Platinium and call it Spirit of Ice. Hide on the surface of Cath. Mortal or god can invoke the artefact to convert some amount of Black Ice into White Ice. Converted amount depends on power of owner of the scepter

Create a landmark called the dome of ages. Inside is every birth record of every sepient being. Then create a sapient humonoid race of scorpions that guard the dome of ages.

Marrow watched as the light from Cath dwindled and disappeared. Radiance would once again well to the surface. The world was darker, and Marrow was all the happier for it.

Inspired, Marrow sunk a vast pit into the waters south east of Wushkrag. Here he sowed a great and terrible darkness. Light could never reach the bottom of the pit. There swirled a black and inky muck. The muck constantly writhes and forms new and deformed shapes. It swells and festers over time. Every hundred years, at the turn of the century, a twisted and terrible Fellbeast emerges and chooses a land to torment. It then makes a direct path for that land unhindered by the water.

Marrow creates the first Fellbeast and sets it upon the world so that it may cause destruction and be slain by the valiant heros of the world. Giants have a natural inclination to avoid Fellbeast, which do not bother giants unless bothered. When a Fellbeast dies it melts into black ichor, and it's soul condenses to create an artifact which contains some of it's power. That object belongs to the slayer originally, but can be taken and used by others as well.

Duskwrath was the first Fellbeast. It crawled forth from the inky mass. It was a a monstrous being with nine human hands extending from fourteen various holes in it's circular shell which covered it's body. Eyes and mouths appear in the holes which do not have arms.the arms constantly recede and extend from different holes as it moves. It is larger than any giant and knows only destruction.

Make a deep pit filled with black ichor. Make Fellbeasts. -60

Create Humans within the continent of Amparea.-50
Create the Raffguffins, 3-7 m long wooly rhinos who are very gentle and shy unless provoked who have a high intelligence for an animal. They feed on plants and fungi. Spread them to all the continents. -10
Create the Sailemandros, seven legged salamander-like beasts about the size of a dog. They hunt in packs, and are highly social, as well as intelligent for a beast and they grow up to 2 m long. They feed on meat and movifungi. Spread them to Wushkrag. -10
Create the Island Fly-Trap, an island sized breed of meat eating plants, that produce hallucinatory gases to confuse its prey. It appears as a beautiful island filled with wonders. It is slow to reproduce, but its spores can survive for many centuries, flying through the air. The seeds swim on the water up to the point where they have absorbed enough water, which is when they fall into the ocean and begin growing. A fully sized island needs 50 years to mature. -10
Create the Terrortail, a giant worm species, with terrible jaws, which can reach a size of 90m if fully matured, who roam the caves and sometimes dig new ones. They feed on fungi, meat, stone, and plants. -10
Create the Trancertree, a very small tree (1-5m), that produces psychadelic coloured fruits that give you visions, nightmares, or a mere headache. The tree itself looks rather mundane, comparable to a mere oak tree in little. -10
