"Rain" (Xvareon)
I am so, so sorry about the delay. I just got so caught up in my schoolwork I couldn't spare a thought for this. Now that I've got a 3-day weekend, though, I'm hoping to kick it off right. Good thing I caught you just in time, 'cause you did say you were hoping to publish tomorrow evening.
And woohoo! Thank you, lady luck, for all those 5's! ^^

"Alright, thanks... Wait!" I say to Antonio. "Where will you be heading, then?" I want to know this because if he can't talk when I need him (such as when I've found Argon), then I'd like to know his general location so I can find it myself, or relay a message to him by talking to someone else via communicator. Things are advancing rapidly, and any smart PMC knows to stay well-updated while on a mission.
Also because this gives Antonio an opportunity to say something badass.
Ok, go time. I abandon all pretense of stealth (end Sneaking mode) and grab the bag, then duck around the corner that Antonio just walked past, thus keeping myself out of view from anyone approaching from the west. I then set the bag down and start rifling through it. This is the tough part. Let's hope my equipment rolls pan out.
1) I lay my shotgun against the wall, nice and easy, with the safety on.
2) Next, I grab the communicator from the bag and set that on the ground near me, with the volume turned up just enough that I can make out anything being said, but not loud enough to expose my position. I want to know if anyone is likely to come looking for the guy(s) Antonio took all this cool shit from, and if so, from what direction.
P.S: While I'm at it, I think it'd be a good idea to compare the guards' communicators to mine. If I can identify the differing models (with a mental roll, probably), then that should help me not get the two mixed up so that I grab the wrong phone in a tense situation. It'll also give me an edge at spotting friendlies who have the same communicator I do.
3) While I'm listening to the messages, I take out the guard uniform and start shrugging it on. Anything I have pocketed (like my communicator) can go right into any convenient pocket I can find there.
Finally, if I have any time left over in my turn, I spend it, in order of priority: Listening for and peeking around the corner for anyone approaching, and taking the rest of the items from the bag, in order of (Dazzler, Pepper Spray, Communicator, Pistol).
<Observation=4>
Antonio stops walking, looks back toward you, and responds,
"My team and I will secure the exit and search the areas attached to it." He abruptly resumes walking north at a faster pace. It seems like he doesn't want to waste any more time talking.
<Agility=6>
And neither do you. You pocket your flashlight, rush around the corner and hug the eastern cell block wall, grabbing the bag along the way. You are now out of sight from anyone approaching from the west. With that fact in mind, you stop attempting to be stealthy, taking out your flashlight and leaving it illuminated so that you'll be able to clearly see what you're doing. You quickly double check the bag to confirm that nothing fell out of it. Yep, all the stuff is still there.
You toggle on the safety of your shotgun and try placing it against the wall. However, in your haste, you bump the shotgun against the wall and accidentally pull the trigger. It doesn't fire. Good thing you put the safety on.
You then grab the communicator out of the bag, increase the volume, and start playing the saved messages. It's a little louder than necessary. As it plays, you examine it and mentally compare your findings with what you know about your own communicator.
<Mental=3>
Both communicators seem to function in nearly the exact same way. Neither is that advanced. They both possess a simple LCD screen that shows the communicator's current mode and the number of saved messages. They probably both also possess some way to change the communication frequencies, but you don't know how. However, it does look like the model owned by the guards is slightly older, since it seems to be lacking the delayed playback function that your communicator possesses. On your communicator, that function can be used to play all saved messages after a user-specified delay time between 10 and 180 seconds. Though, it might just be that this function is accessed differently on the guards' communicators. You're not sure.
The communicators look almost exactly the same. The back of the communicators have different model numbers, and your model possesses slightly more padding to protect it from fall damage, but otherwise match completely. You won't be able to identify the model of the communicators held by other people unless you can get a very close look. That may have been the reason Antonio chose this type of communicator, since it would help with blending in around here. You finish your examination and decide that it's time to disguise yourself.
<Coordination=6>
You take the guard uniform out of the bag and quickly get dressed. As you change clothes, you re-arrange your inventory so that all your stuff is easily accessible. You actually finish putting on the clothes quicker than you expected. However, while you were rapidly putting the clothes on, you accidentally bumped into your shotgun. It didn't fire. Saved once again by the use of proper gun safety! Now fully disguised, you decide to make sure that nobody is approaching.
<Awareness=1>
You peek around the corner, but only look for a couple seconds before retracting your head. You try to listen for danger, but you don't hear anything over the messages being played by your communicator. Well, you didn't see or hear anyone dangerous approaching. Eh, you're probably safe. At this point, the messages have finally finished playing. You heard the following messages:
MSG 1: "Warden, this is Logan. I'm at the library. What's going on? Why's the power out? Over."
MSG 2: "This is Nolan. Eight other guards and myself are positioned outside the center cell blocks. Awaiting orders, Warden. Over."
MSG 3:
"Uh, hello? Is this thing on? Um, we are all in danger! Argon has escaped! No wait, I mean, someone is trying to help Argon escape! Tell the Warden!"MSG 4:
"Aria, is that you? This isn't the time for jokes. Please only use the communicator to send serious messages. Over."The guard communicator received 3 more messages while you listening. You make the quick decision to not play them, for now. You grab the bag full of guard items, eager to add these goodies to your inventory.
<Coordination=1
-> 2>
You quickly reach into the bag. You nearly grab the Dazzler by its trigger, but you realize your mistake just in time and stop yourself. You carefully remove the Dazzler and Pepper Spray from the bag. However, as you pull the Pistol out of the bag, it slips out of your hand. The pistol hits the ground and slides away from you. It doesn't fire, thankfully. You quickly rush over to the gun and grab it. Afterward, you go back to the wall and grab your shotgun. Every item is now back in your inventory. You are now only holding your flashlight. You are facing south. You actually haven't looked north since Antonio left.

Attributes:
[Expertise] You are prepared and know how to use your tools properly. While doing any action requiring the use of weapons or items, if you roll a 1, you will roll again and use the new roll. This Attribute will only activate once per turn.
Status: Normal
Inventory: Guard Uniform(disguised), Communicator(Active), Flashlight(held, on), Shotgun(6 shots), Brass Knuckles, Swiss Army Knife, Helmet, Gauze Bandages, Guard Communicator(Silent, 3 messages), Pistol(2 Rubber Bullets), Dazzler(98 uses), and Can of Pepper Spray(6 uses).
Notes: Since you stopped sneaking, your Agility stat is now once again at 2. Also, I usually don't roll for relatively simple things like adjusting your inventory or putting stuff down, unless these actions are done in darkness or done too quickly. Since you rolled a 6 for Agility, I added a couple Coordination rolls to determine your success at changing clothes and grabbing stuff from the bag.

<Dream=4>
You continue to remain in a deep sleep. As you do, your dreaming continues.
You finish eating that fantastic meal and feel totally satisfied. The boss smiles and walks away. Moments later, he returns, holding a large briefcase. "Consider this a gift." He hands you the briefcase. It's heavy. You slowly open the briefcase, eager to discover what's inside. As you open it, you catch a glimpse of something shiny. When the briefcase is finally open, your eyes are filled with tears of joy. You can't believe that the boss is actually giving you one of these. You reach into the case and pull out a-

Suddenly everything stops. The images within your mind rapidly fade away. It feels like the world is shaking. Your senses are returning to you, along with the pain in your eyes. A voice is ringing in your ear.
"Dude, wake up! Come on!"It feels like someone is slapping you. You groan, groggily. You are now on the verge of waking up.

Goon McGoon (conein)
"Oh crap. I hope stuff gets better or i may as well start digging my tomb.
Yeah, I was looking around and before i could notice I fell on the ground. I guess I'm fine but my torch is broken.
and my other stuff too, how am I even supposed to contact Antonio now? Screw my life [color]"
see if they can get me a new torch. And medical assistance if it doesnt look too risky.
The woman appears to be a little confused.
"Oh, I'm sorry about your broken, uh, 'torch.' Are you sure that you're okay? Um, did you....hurt your head when you fell?"The man, Chris, lets out a few laughs. The woman turns toward him in surprise.
"Lana, are you serious? His 'torch' is obviously his flashlight. He didn't suffer any brain damage!""Oh! I-I knew that!" Lana exclaims as she tries to hide her embarrassment.
"I'm just, uh, being thorough! That's all!"Since neither Lana or Chris seem too threatening, you decide to ask them where you can receive a new flashlight and medical attention. You'll need to phrase your question just right to avoid them becoming suspicious. Hopefully you can choose the right words.
<Speech=4>
"Do either of you have a spare torch? I'd go get one myself, but I don't want to risk another fall. My ankle hurts too. I probably need to get that looked at."Chris walks up to you and offers you his flashlight.
"How about we trade torches? I used to repair electronics and other gizmos back when I was a teenager. I might be able to fix your torch. If I can't, then Lana and I can just share hers. Do we have a deal?"You readily agree to the trade, giving Chris your broken flashlight in exchange for his functional one. You keep the lit flashlight held in your hand. As Chris begins examining the broken flashlight, Lana kneels down to examine your leg. She looks mildly concerned.
"Hmm....I think...you sprained your ankle. Um, I don't have any pain relievers with me. You might just need to rest and apply an ice pack, if we can find one.""Check the kitchen." Chris says while continuing to look over the flashlight.
"There's probably pain relievers and ice packs stored there.""Hey, that's a good idea. The three of us should go to the kitchen." Lana says as she stands up.
"We might even pass by the Warden on the way there. Sometimes I see him sneak over to the kitchen for some late night snacks. He might be able to help too."Chris and Lana turn around and start walking west toward the corner. They still suspect nothing.
