Owl Teeth?
« on: August 15, 2015, 04:33:38 pm »

So, I like playing small forts with happy dorfs. When I start a new one, I like to embark with things my little guys like, and ran into this: http://i.imgur.com/wux1BHv.png

She likes barn owl teeth.
Birds with teeth are canon.

Seriously though, I'm not finding anything relating to teeth in the Barn Owl raws- is it a side effect of the STANDARD_MATERIALS tag?

.............maybe its a phrasing bug, and it means beak? Has anyone ever seen where they like barn own beak? Are beaks considered a tooth?

Well done, sir.

I'm new to succession forts in general, yes, but do all forts designed by multiple overseers inevitably degenerate into a body-filled labyrinth of chaos and despair like this? Or is this just a Battlefailed thing?

The real question now is how can we weaponize it.

...Yes. Attack owls. Tamed ones don't fly, so you'd have to breed wild ones and unleash them upon the goblin hordes.

So, this happened...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
This would be quite alarming, if most procedurally-generated beasties didn't already fit the bill.

"Gastropod teeth" could be referring to radulas or love darts, take your pick. Toady will eventually add them to the game, so the current bodyparts might as well serve as placeholders.

That's just the game's way of saying that she's dead. One can peer into the souls of the deceased, if only they are remembered by their loved ones.
