Is Andres gonna need a speed roll for his reaction time?
Well, considering at max you hav five essence on courage, then even at he best possible roll the magic blast is gonna be a tickle, and if my wind blast is powerful enough to destroy a bridge, then a direct hit is gonna Hurt.

I have 5 Courage so I only need Essence if I want something better than a d5.

Remember, actions all technically happen at once; the actual turn doesn't happen until everything has been set up, hence why at the end of these sections I do an over all description. So the blast is coming, but you weren't hit yet.

Also you'd still need to roll initiative for this, and you literally cannot win that roll as is.

Dumbo's headless body drops to its knees and blood sprays from it's neck in a fountain of pressurized gore. Green electrical discharge suddenly arcs all across is body and the blood is pulled in toward the stump of stump of his neck as though by a great gravitational force. It condenses into a red glob the size of a basket ball that then glows brightly green. There's a sound like a distant scream and then the ball explodes into an expanding wall of wind. The road snaps between it's supports and is hurled straight down, several hundred feet onto the roof of another massive structure below. Andres is thrown back, hurtling in a long, low arc straight into one of the skyscrapers that the road intersects. He punches straight through the glass window, past a blur of offices and through several more walls before embedding himself into a massive support beam somewhere in the depths of the structure.  Dumbo is untouched by the wind, but he begins to fall, down towards the ruined rooftops below.

Andres, thats 160 essence lost there; you're basically dead several times over. Your body is pulp. Gonna take you 3 turns to regenerate.

Oh, PW, question, could I use my air affinity or electricity affinity to turn myself into a point version of he respective elements? And if so, what kinda number range would I need for that?

Not sure exactly what you're asking. If you want to turn into a bolt of lightning or gust of wind, you can do that. 31-50 range probably.
