They would be inventive, and quick to learn things, like how to make civilizations, and how to enslave all of the other races as livestock, because we'd get to sapience 20 turns or so before them, and generally advance through the tech tree faster.

I know which race is going extinct at a quicker pace than the others.

They were parasitic squids that were highly psionic, allowing them to indefinitely mind-control their host. In this game, however, they're omnivores that are physically weak, but really smart.

Name: Ngaxol

Animal Family: Mollusk

Description: The Ngaxol are a species of mollusks which are largely simplistic in nature. They are omnivorous, usually sucking up algae or filter-feeding to feed. Due to their small size, they typically consume algae, only filterfeeding where it is economical to do so.
Their most advanced trait is their socialization. Ngaxols are capable of making chirps which are audible up to 10 meters away, as well as releasing basic pheromones, which are capable of reaching up to 50 meters, but far more slowly(up to an hour travel) Both communicatory methods are very primitive, with the chirps short range and the pheromones binary nature (a positive pheromone attract, a negative pheromone repels other Ngaxols).
They are mobile by inhaling water and then ejecting it through the other side of their body, however they do not do well escaping predators with this method. Typically they move in pairs, but small groups of 4-6 are not uncommon.
Their exterior is entirely flesh, but has three layers. All three layers are very thin and server only to keep organs in and water out. Keeping predators out doesn't work so well, and lacking an escape route they are usually killed.
Reproduction is via sexual intercourse. The female then lays the fertilized eggs which hatch some few days later.
