I say we go with the bitch witch! Ash "the neck stabber" Grey was a fledgling author attempting to write a crime fiction novel in the big city, when she ran out of money she moved back to her home town and joined a small startup band. She can often be heard doing "good luck" rites in the middle of night. No one knows where she got her nickname.

The choice is simple. Lynch Masterson, the Werewolf. Literal party animal going strong since the Industrial Revolution. However, being a huge furred beast can't replace the hole he feels in his heart. (Fade moves sounds good to me, and I plan to run the zombie version of this game, if you don't mind.)

Alright, it looks like Greenie is Lynch Masterson. But hrm... The other character was a lady and generally, I like at least a sprinkling of opposite genders. Hrm... Compromise! Ash Masterson, mostly the same as Lynch Masterson except a ladywolf. The next track is 'Favored by the Moon'.
You would have smiled, if you could
See me now, I'm a little sycophant,
I don't care if I would,
I don't see you, I bloom under the moon, like the Wolfsbane plant.
Is that true? I never knew these things without you.

I got a primal look,
I haven't washed, am I unkempt,
To you I must be a lunatic, you read me like a book.
I'm all wiry, I miss food to pay rent.
Rugged like a Scottish shore,
Feisty cos I won't die yet, I wanna open a door.

Your eyes are the one I miss,
Mine are fierce, look in abyss,
I'm just a savage gal, I'm no city mouse.
The cunning in me says I should leave you now,
But when you look at me, I'm all predatory,
I'll never leave, like a wolf never stops.

These days you die a man and you're born a wolf,
All the kids are just raised by wolves,
Ancestral power is all you got.
I was awoken, I was bitten,
And you were favored by the moon at night.

A good if non-specific track there. Now, let's pick their the looks and the origin. By the by, what role in the band does Ash have? Phil is lead singer, Horatio is lead guitarist, Barry is drums. That leaves keyboard, bass, or some mad esoteric instrument outside of the standard rock band lineup. Your call!

Flute! We need a flute! Or the tortured screams of children.

Ash would best be described as rugged, with an adventurous cunning and can-do attitude in her eyes, a thing she obtained from a protracted period of homelessness. During this period she also managed to get bitten by some vagrant in a homeless shelter with surprisingly unpredictable results. She's the keyboardist primarily (owing to some piano practice in her girlhood), flutist, bassist, additional percussionist and whatever else happens to be required by the song, attempting to make up for her lack of formal training with spirited effort, and sometimes attempts to harmonize her preferred style of growling with what could charitably be described as singing on Phil's part. If this were a drone metal band they'd be on their way to fast success!

Huh, I just realized something: Ash is our first bandmember with a second name. Some people said that Ash's voice would be ideal for a drone metal band. I say, which one? Cos some of bands that could be considered drone metal have nice singers. Off that subject: next track is 'Howl at the Moon'.

I can feel you deep down there,
So many years ago, when you ate me alive,
The only one who could bear to care.
Where are yooooou, Clive?

In my nostrils, the scent of blood,
I'm unstable,
Uncontainable,
Over me, your Primal Dominance,
Bare your fangs,
Howl at the moon.

Long ago, there we were,
You look so old, I look so young,
Look at us now, monsters of claws and fur,
And you, rope around your neck, you just swung...

My Heightened Senses tells I'm no
Hero, just another fool with a lover,
Overhead, the moon hid by the crow,
And we dance, forever more, in Spirit Armor.

And when I awake the next morn,
You'll be gone, and I'm still here.
I won't be sad, I won't mourn.
I won't think, I'll drink more beer.

Once more...
Bare your fangs.
Howl at the moon.

*mournful wolf howls*

That was 'Howl at the Moon'. Well, that would end up on the soundtrack of some Hollywood film during the credits, if not for Ash's... singing style. Yeah, not much like Jesu, really.
Now, time to choose moves for Ash. Choose two of these, please! Oh, one thing about the werewolf. The album manual says that the werewolf band member's darkest self song is them turning into a wolf. Do you guys want Ash to be able to turn into a werewolf without going darkest self, or should it be only if they're at their darkest self?

Ash, having spent quite a bit of time in a homeless shelter, knows the importance of asserting one's primal dominance, and happens to be the only one in the band who can claim to have ever won in a fight. It was only once, but still! She also has a weird fascination with blood, the scent of it making her a little too excited in all the worst ways. To be honest, the others are kind of afraid of her sometimes, what with her less than shining personally, tendency to bring raw meat along to practice, mild adoration of the life and works of GG Allin and a whole lot of somewhat disturbing stories (well, at least she doesn't have a knife collection).

Alright, so that's our fourth and final bandmember sketched out to completion. The next track: 'Silence'.
"Why do you like GG Allin?"
"Well, you can't say he sold out."
"Neither did Foetus, and he's a genius."
"If anyone had heard of Thirlwell, he would have sold out."
"Your musical tastes are both inf--"
"Did I give you permission to talk?"
"..."
"Hear that?"
"What?"
"Silence."
"Guys! We're ready in 3, 2, 1!"

"Silence, silence,
You can hear it in the air.
The sound of violence,
raise your hands in the air like you just don't care!

"Time marches on,
Blink then it's gone,
I'll steal, won't pay bail bond,
You'll be in hell before Ron!

"Silence, silence,
Can't you see, I'm much too clear,
I propose an alliance,
We're together, drinking a beer.

"I'm no scrutinizer,
Cos the devil's in the deets,
I'm the neutralizer,
Wanna cut you up to get at your meats!

Sodon'tcryabout
Nowastedtimejust
Singafuckingsong!

. . .

"Well, guys, that was the worst thing I have ever heard."
"YEAH! Totally fuckin' Mexico."
"Could be worse."
"Hrm. Certain people have been kinda upping the quality."
"I'm brilliant, is that a crime? I'm getting a drink."
"Make it a double, we're partying."
"I can't, I gotta go home. This was kinda fun, though."
"You look weird when you smile."
"Thanks."
"Okay, so, same time next week, guys? Guys?"
Well, they weren't lying. In my four months as a DJ on Nightdrive, that was probably the worst thing I have ever heard. And they're only getting worse from here on out, probably. Now, the next track is 'Backstory', but that's about ten minutes long and we haven't even hit the meat of the album yet. I'm thinking of skipping it. What do you guys think?

I vote yes on skipping. I'd think it'd be interesting to roleplay based on what's generated.

Sure, skip it. I could write up backstories based on the information there, but why not shake things up a bit?

Lariat light, let's get going. We divvied up who gets what with the Compromise Machine, *SFX: dice in fist rattling*, and we're ready to start the next track: 'A Day in the Life'. Not to be confused with the Beatles song.

"And when I wake, the clouds will be gone.
In that old mansion between the grass,
And the crappy little shack, on 8th and Don.
Party Manor, they called it, we used to throw a nice bash.

Why does a ghost need to sleep,
There's so much shit,
That I just don't get about this.

What used to be a party place,
was now a crackhouse.
What a goddamn waste,
I watched this place fall apart, quiet as a mouse.

Barry better not see me like this,
If he does, I'll be pissed,
Not that I like him or anything,
we're broromeos, get me?

I walk over the junkies,
shivering in their sleeping bags,
and they don't even notice me dissipate.
Too fucked to care about nothing but the big H.

And I just gotta ask, I gotta ask,
What happened to Party Manor? And why I am still here?
But some questions, that's all they are.
But there's something simpler I gotta consider,
What do I do now?"

Heh, Party Manor. It doesn't look like it used to because the squatters eventually found better things than booze to keep them going.

It's also where you got stepped on, Phil! You dead!

There isn't anything here, though. Better look for your friends, maybe. Like Ash-wait, no, not Ash. Barry, yeah, find Barry! Remind him to get to rehearsals next Monday in a friendly kinda way. And if you can't find Barry, look for Horatio and remind him about that cash he borrowed from you last week (how he did that you don't exactly remember).

"Yeah, that's a reminder,
I'm outta the house, walking along the beach,
This neighborhood used to be a good bit kinder.
When I was around, I would preach:
'I'm living on the edge,
This isn't gentrification!'
Of course, cool goes home, forget the pledge.
Death just leads you into procrastination.

God, I'm hungover,
Should I call Ash-- Why'd I think that? No.

"Shit, he see me? This sober?
He's moving. I'm safe. Whoa.

"I call up Barry on the phone,
Of course he won't answer, fuck.
Does he hate me now? Is this blown?
Nah, it'll be fine, with a little luck.

I sit on a bench, at the bus stop,
and I call Horatio.
Hopefully he didn't get arrested by some cop,
Again.

*SFX: Ringing Phone*
"I can't get out of bed.
It just ain't happening.
What's waiting for me?
When I get up, what I gotta look forward to?

In my house,
it smells like death.
Phil's ringing.
What'd I spend his cash on?
