As mush as I like that idea, we best wait until tomorrow for that. In the mean time, we should explore some more. We went through the forest. We should try the peaks, now.

The Pilot and their cargo handlers paused when they saw that the entire camp is covered in eldritch runes coated in blood. And rotting monkey corpses everywhere..

They decide that they didn't get paid enough for this..

+1. Again, leave somebody with Mother. The new guy?

I would ask why fire can burn two men to death without getting hot enough to burn a book, but then I read "INEXTINGUISHABLE RUNNING KAMIKAZE RADIOACTIVE FLAMING ZOMBIE" and realized that logic, reason, and physics are all occupied with crying in the corner right now.

Ooh! Time to test a definitely-going-to-fail theory in a hopeless attempt to get something resembling a "researcher" plantguy, if that's even possible.
Try thinking [/I]really hard[/I] "at" Mother about research-related memories and other things.

I'd say if we want to do this, we give Mother another blood offering while doing so.

+1. I say get there and briefly deploy the plant men to scout for particular points of interest that we might explore in greater depth tomorrow.

Thinking action can be done while we do other things (probably not the best option) and can also be done when we return. So we can explore then when we return, we can do the thinking thing.
Or in other more-visible words, Do the thinking thing after we get back from exploring.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

I figure at some point, you're just gonna run outta fucks to give and just off yourself whenever you get hurt at all. It's not like there's any downsides to it. Hangover? Suicide will fix that. Stubbed your toe? Suicide. Headache? Suicide. Papercut? Suicide.

Turn 28

Before you set out to explore the nearby peak you try and manipulate Mother's birthing process with your mind. You think smart, researchy thoughts while you give Mother a bit of your blood. You can't help but feel a bit occult. You might try something more intense later but for now you should get going.

You head up the stream to the peak. Leaving the new guy to watch over camp

You arrive at the barren peak. The green wooded landscape of the slopes has been replaced by rocky dry soil. The stream leads to what looks like a pond to the northwest. You have about half an hour to check out the area before you need to return to the camp.

This would be a good spot for geological surveys.
But we probably should keep an eye out for any possible threats first.

Investigate purple plant-like things.
Bring one or two back to camp, along with a few rocks for further study.

Ask Bulb about the fertility of the soil. He's a plant after all.

You investigate the rocks and plants. The rocks in the area are red, they also looks kind of glassy. The plants skin looks pretty rough, they have weird nodules at their base and blue tendrils at the top. You keep your investigation to just a visual inspection for now.

You move to the pond you spotted from the south east. There are a few animals around eating the multitude of those plants growing around what looks like a volcanic spring.

That plant in the middle looks like Mother. I say tomorrows project is to clear out the local wildlife and build a bridge to reach it.

Ask the plantmen if they know anything about the bulb in the middle of the lake, and then head home.
