Regarding the game:
Offer 2 or 3 of the crabs to the green ridgeback, but be careful. Try to tell the plantkins to wait where they are while you try to make a new friend. They can gather the remaining crab corpses while you are busy.

That thing looks pretty big. You throw a crab at it in an attempt to appease it and then make a break for it with the rest of the bodies.



You get back to camp and give mother your haul. After watching the process happen a few times you think you've gotten an understanding of how much food you need to feed it.

Our suit still has gel, better not accidentally damage it while trying to repair it with crab.
There is no need for a wall yet since we move our base further north anyway.
Check out the river if there is any fish to catch.
We should only move the camp if we have a pair of hands for every axe. (so one more plantkin (since one is on the way right now))

I also suggest the second plantkin's name to be Rabbit (for its rabbit-ears-like ears)

Turn 20



You'll need more biomass to get more plantminkins so you check the stream for fishing potential. You can't see any fish, or any animals of any kind in the stream. It would seem both the oceans and the rivers on this planet are devoid of animal life.



It's been a while so you check back on the north east. The Ridgeback is gone and so are all of the crabs. You take the remaining fruit to feed to the Mother (+3 Biomass).



It would seem in order to continue hunting you will either have to wait for animals to wander into the area or explore some of the island. Given that you are limited in range based on your air supply you can either follow the stream to one of the smaller peaks. Venture deeper into the island's forests or explore more of the beach.

You could probably create some primitive carapace armour but you would need more carapace to do it. Unfortunately the crab corpses that the Mother Plant is consuming have had their carapace partially dissolved so you'll have to remove the carapace before using their bodies for their biomass.

I fail to see how layering some crab carapace on top of our suit would damage it, rather than preventing it from getting damaged further.

We don't know what sort of tides are in this world though. Unless that slightly darker terrain behind the beach represents a tide line, Then we could be in trouble.

Whichever way we go, though, we should Leave Rabbit behind to guard Mother and assist with the Birthing.

Turn 21



You worry about not being present for a birthing so you wait for it to be complete before you leave. You use this time to eat (-3 ration bars) drink and repair your suit using some carapace. You mostly just put carapace over the top of the damage. It's basically as good as it was before with the carapace layered over the gel.



You journey from the camp to the forest with Bulb and the new Plantminkin. You leave Rabbit behind to watch over Mother and the camp.



You arrive at the forest. You have roughly 45 minutes to explore before you'll have to head back due to your air supply. You can probably stretch that to an hour though, the atmoscan said you could go for 20 minutes before your brain melts. That might be a bit dangerous though.

The trees here are considerably larger and more dense then those on the beach. There are also a lot of bushes around which could conceal dangers or rewards.

You can see some kind of fight going on above you and even further then that it looks like there is a clearing.
