Get up, not bothering to straighten my clothes out. Open the door. Once I see the guy in the military uniform, try to open all the doors to find a way out, not bothering to address his existence at all.

I WOKE UP LATE!

Spoiler: Kristof Bauer (click to show/hide)

Surprised from the sudden change of scenery. Get up to do some cursory stretches, gotta be spry and feeling good to start off any day!

Cautiously exit my room.  Explore by sneaking around, trying to avoid anyone I see.
get up and open the door. What can i see?
Get up, not bothering to straighten my clothes out. Open the door. Once I see the guy in the military uniform, try to open all the doors to find a way out, not bothering to address his existence at all.
(I'm doing these all as one action because the are basically the same thing)
You walk through the door into a room with several rows of chairs. Sitting in front of the chairs is a middle aged man in a military uniform, playing chess by himself, another person in military garb is standing next to him. Along the wall with the door you just came through there are 5 other doors. Four of the doors are open, in front of two of the doors are people who are in the same uniform as the man standing in the center. Along the wall to your right and are huge windows, outside of the windows is a huge field of dark purple. On the wall in front of you is another iron door.

((srry...))

Stand in front of the guy playing chess until he notices me. Might as well be polite.
you walk forward and stand next to the guy playing chess. After a few seconds two other people walk out of the doors behind you.

I WOKE UP LATE!

Spoiler: Kristof Bauer (click to show/hide)

Surprised from the sudden change of scenery. Get up to do some cursory stretches, gotta be spry and feeling good to start off any day!
You stretch a few times, when suddenly you hear someone on the other side of the door say "sit down" in a very commanding tone. You walk through the door into a room with several rows of chairs. there is a middle aged man standing in front of several people sitting in the chairs. Along the wall with the door you just came through there are 5 other doors. Three of the doors are open. Along the wall to your right and are huge windows, outside of the windows is a huge field of dark purple. On the wall in front of you is another iron door.
[everyone]
The guy playing chess stands up, and adjusts his uniform, before he says in a very commanding voice "Sit down." Something about his voice forces you all to come forward and sit down. Once you have all sat down the man begins to talk.
"This might be hard for you to hear, but you've been dead. Actually you've been dead for a while, so things are going to be strange, really strange. You wont remember dying, due to the fact that having a memory like that does strange thing to a mans psyche, but enough about that.

About fifty years ago, a god came. Not a real god, but damn near close. long story short we barely won, and I do mean barely,
billions of people died before we took that beast down. Once we killed it are best scientists reverse engineered all its tech. We could understand maybe a tenth of it, what bits we did understand were used to make this base, and your bodies. Once we realized that this thing came from another dimension, and that there were more of them, we were scarred, really scared. That's where we come in, we're in a pocket dimension, just in case earth is ever attacked again. Our job is to find and kill these gods, it's not an easy job, but you all don't really have a choice." The man smile slightly as he finishes his speech, before turning and walking out the door in front of you.

I don't think so. you get to specializes in one field which removes the possibility of an over shoot in the field, everything else just use the standard 6 sided dice. but you can get buffs and curses to specific fields.

[5]
you go back to your room, and sleep restfully.
"Wait, so it was an evil god/thingy?"

I gotta find a way to get out of here.

Look out a window, then sit down in behind the chess board.

"Anyone wanna play chess?"
[6] you walk over to the window, and after staring at the purple field for a few minutes you begin to get a headache.
You walk back over to the chess board and ask if anyone wants to play. Much to your surprise the chess board offers to play. [6] You accept and beat it easily, but it mutters something about your doom. It might be a good idea to stay away from it.

Conduct a medical examination on everyone nearby and myself.  Check for injuries or other unusual things.

I just have to warn you guys that the stats system isn't super well developed so a lot of times it be some what subjective as to what skill is used, and I also reserve the right to rejiggle thins as I see fit.

I don't think we should listen to that guy. For all we know, he's just signing us up for a job the military doesn't want to admit exists. Once it's done, we'll probably have the blood the innocent on out hands or something. You can never trust the military.

Look around for evidence of how this is being staged. Pay a significant amount of attention to the purple field. Could it just be colored water running down the sides of a glass dome?

I'm sorry I haven't updated recently. I am going to stop waiting for everyone to post.

Conduct a medical examination on everyone nearby and myself.  Check for injuries or other unusual things.
[2] Everyone seems normal to you.

[4] You look at the window very carefully, you're pretty sure that it's some type of nebula.

Talk to the chess board and ask it if it knows stuff about why we're here.

[auto fail] All you can get out of the chess board is lots, and lots of evil laughter.
