What's the setting? Just a general idea will do, if you want to keep things a mystery.

(Modern-day scifi or futuristic scifi?  Eh, I love the scifi genre, so I'll join regardless)

Spoiler: Character (click to show/hide)

Action:  Get off the table and walk toward the door.  Before opening it, put my ear against the door and try to hear what's on the other side.

Name: Gregory Hanks
Appearance: The lowest of the low, Greg's uniform has but a single symbol. The Private E-1. He has earned no metals, fought no battles, nor done any better than simply scrape by in his career, and the stark simplicity his uniform shows it all.
Back-story: He was drafted into the military by a bureaucratic error. Put in a position he hated, he excelled at failing. His entire career went against every principle he believed in, and he was dishonorably discharged 3 times in his career, only to be drafted again a week later - by the same blunder that got him in the first time. However, through all the training he retained the same willpower, never breaking, never forgetting the truth: This world is run by the greedy, and the small can only prevail if they realize that their rulers have no power. This ideology was strengthened by the political secrets he knew. Secrets that - because of him - everyone would know one day. Someday.
Specialization: Knowledge (Preferably political secrets)

All right your characters look good, the game will start when we have six people or if it is taking to long for people to join.

Get off the table and walk toward the door.  Before opening it, put my ear against the door and try to hear what's on the other side.
You listen at the door for a few seconds, but all you can hear is a soft tapping, and a door opening softly.

Check to see if the door opens. If it does, open it and look outside.
You test the door knob, it turns easily. You walk through the door into a room with several rows of chairs. Sitting in front of the chairs is a middle aged man in a military uniform, playing chess by himself. Along the wall with the door you just came through there are 5 other doors. Along the wall to your right and are huge windows, outside of the windows is a huge field of dark purple. On the wall in front of you is another iron door.

Cautiously exit my room.  Explore by sneaking around, trying to avoid anyone I see.
