Okay. Feel free to make the fire wherever you like, I just set the wood there temporarily.

Alan starts twitching greedily as he spots the fruit lying on the ground.
"It's so delicious....I MUST HAVE MORE!"

Rush over to the untouched fruit and recklessly bite into it and devour it whole.

(I admit, I probably shouldn't have Alan carelessly risk his life, but now I'm curious to see what horrible side effects he experiences  :P)

(Edit: Since the fruit was tasty enough that just a lick of it was enough to cause Alan to recklessly drink all the juice, I figure it's not unreasonable that Alan has temporarily become slightly psychotic as he seeks more.)

You can't eat any more fruit until we know it isn't poisonous. If you try to eat any more of it I'm going to have to stop you.
If he goes for the fruit anyway, push it away from him with the dull end of my spear. If he continues to go for it, set aside the spear and pin him down.

[Mary]
[3] Mary investigates the overhang. At first, it appears empty. Upon closer inspection, she discovers some kind of small nest. Nothing big enough to have a real threat to humans unless in a swarm. Apart from that, there are just a few small bones here and there. She exits the cave and returns to the forest.

[Alan]
[Eric]
[5 vs 2] Alan grabs the fruit off of the ground and attempts to bite into it. Eric tries to stop him, but his attempts to poke him are fruitless. He sets down the spear and prepares to tackle Alan, but he hesitates. Is it really the right thing to do to tackle an old man? Meanwhile, Alan manages to make a small hole in the fruit's surface, puts his mouth to it, and sucks, draining the fruit halfway. The fluid is delicious. However, he notices that the liquid is very slightly glowing. As the sun sets further and the surroundings get darker, the liquid begins to glow brighter. Alan's stomach is also beginning to feel painful.

[Rob]
[3] Rob finds a small trickle of water running down the trunk of a tree and tracks it to a minuscule puddle. It's definitely not enough to supply the entire forest. He does, however, hear a more powerful trickle coming from nearby. The sound of water falling onto rocks is also evident.

Frustrated by Alan, and uncomfortable being in the dark in an unfamiliar land, Eric temporarily ignores the old man, and turns his attention to the fire. He moves the wood he gathered, placing it in front of the overhang, but not under it, and arranges it into a decent campfire, then tries to light it. He talks while he works, first to Alan, then to the group as a whole.
If you're that determined to eat that fruit, go ahead. I'm going to try and start a fire by this overhang, and I'md recommend that all of you join me.
Start a fire.

"Just watch out for that hive, I'm going to find everyone else, might need some help with the old man though"

Bring stragglers to the overhang, including the old man.

The smoke might scare away whatever's in there. If it doesn't, I certainly can.

"Ugh, maybe that was a bad idea..."

Clench my stomach.  Try not to vomit.

(well, so much for Alan, The Wise Helpful Mentor.  Instead, allow me to introduce you to Alan, The Fumbling Out Of Touch Grandpa)

Yeah, slurping down poisonfruit usually is. You probably should try to get it out of your system before it does any more harm than it already has.
