[They're more similar to a mix betewen Trilobites and Crabs. So holy shit, Tricrabs is a great name. Also, please bold your action. Half the time I can't tell your character's thoughts, dialogue, and action apart. Please don't color your action. And put quotes around your dialogue :P.]

"Somehow I suspect that tonight will not be pleasant if we aren't prepared for it. We need to get fire, shelter, and possibly more weapons before it's too dark. I'll gather firewood, and someone who's good at fire starting needs to make a campfire. After that we need to make some sort of shelter, but fire comes first."
Gather as much firewood and other flammable materials as I can.

((I meant to grab the dropped fruit.))

"Neither do I, I could probably start a fire if there was firewood, can someone grab some sticks to rub together?  Also I don't think we should sleep under the trees, maybe try spearing a tricrab to eat."

Look around for shelter, maybe a cave or some rock overhang or rocky outcropping

Giving waitlisted people the ability to murder non-responsive players was a great idea. Need to do that more often.

[The smallest are a few inches in diameter, while the biggest is at least half a foot in diameter.]

"Yum, this is delicious!"

Use my stick to knock down more fruit.  Haphazardly start devouring any fruit I can get my hands on.

(well, can't use ooc info, so Alan continues his foolish decision!)

@Rob
I doubt this spear can stab straight through a shell. It's just a sharpened stick.
@Alan
Hey, stop! We need to wait to see if the fruit's poisonous before you drink any more of it.

Walk up behind one of the tricra and flip it on it's back. Then observe

[You are on the waitlist for now. I plan to implement further players at a certain point (Midnight)]

Continue making the spear and the spearpoint. At some point, try to find some stalks or fibers to use for tying the whole thing together.

[Mary]
[4] The rocky mountain is coated with potential temporary shelters. Mary sees a large rock protruding from the cliff, supported on one side by another large protrusion, and on the other by a pile of rocks. It forms a decent shelter.

[Alan]
[2] Alan tries to bat some more fruits down, but can't reach any of them. His eyes turn to the fruit left on the ground, untouched. His stomach begins to make more noises.

[Eric]
[5] Eric, being in the middle of a small forest, finds no shortage of fire-making materials. Soon he has a small pile of twigs and sticks laid in front of him.

[Julia]
[4] Julia finishes creating the hand axe, and tries to find some kind of binding material. She locates some semi-transparent light blue grass. As she rips some off of the plants, the entire plant begins to slowly emit a dullish purple glow. As does many of the other plants in the area.

[Rob]
[4] Rob makes somewhat of a mental map of his surroundings. He and his companions are located in a small forest, halfway up a gently sloping hill. At the bottom of the hill is a larger forest, and in every other direction but down the hill are rocks, and dry cracked earth.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________
[I'm surprised no one drew the connection that if hey, there's suddenly a forest halfway up the hill, and there are trees and plants growing here and nowhere else, this forest must have a certain resource to the survival of plants, wouldn't it? I just have no idea what that resource might be! Nope, no clue!]

Seeing the dry earth and the rocks around this area, he looks for a spring or other source of water.

(Sorry, idk why, but I just have this tendency to highlight my whole action in orange.)

Eric turns to Mary.

I've gathered up some firewood, mind starting a fire?

"Sure I think I've found us a nice spot to set up camp away from the brain eating yellow things

Check the spot out, make sure it doesn't have any animals or things in it, then show people the spot

((Didn't I say I wanted to pick up the dropped fruit past couple of turns?  Also I figured it just rained a lot to be honest.))
