[Mary]
[2] Mary looks around the forest clearing, and is disappointed to see no small stones anywhere that she could use for cutting. Perhaps she'd have better luck on the rocky outcrops surrounding the small forest. The fruit she missed is still on the ground in front of her. It's evidently not going to run away. In the meantime, the crabs seem to have encountered another creature: a small light yellow blur drops from a tree and lands on top of one of the smaller crab-things. As it is no longer moving, Mary is able to get a better look at it. It is a creature of complete symmetry, sporting five evenly distributed legs, and in the center, a large beak-like object. The creature then rapidly extends and retracts it's legs, slamming it's beak into the crab's shell. The crab desperately starts to sprint (rather slowly) towards a small hole in the ground, but it is too late. The creature's beak breaks through the shell and enters the (minimal) brain of the crab, ending it's struggling. The creature then grabs its prey with two legs and slowly drags it over to the tree trunk, where it begins to feast through the hole.

[Alan]
[1] As Alan turns to search for water, his old age catches up to him and he stumbles. The Glasswater fruit comes loose of his grasp and shatters upon contact of a root. All of the liquids contained inside it immediately begin to seep into the forest floor.

[Eric]
[5] Eric discovers a small patch of stones underneath a root, and fishes around until he finds two of his liking. He quickly knaps away at the stone until he has a small handaxe. However, the other person who was earlier searching for a stone seems completely enamored in what appears to be a fight between a crab and another, peculiar creature.

[Julia]
[3] Julia is able to locate a stick and finds the same small patch of stones Eric located, but cannot see any vines. Perhaps some stalks, or some plant fiber, would work better. Shrugging, he sets to work creating the hand-axe, and gets halfway done.

[Rob]
[4] Rob walks over to a large clump of what appears to be leaves growing out of the ground. He plucks a few, and turns back to the crabs. However, as he watches, something peculiar happens: a small light yellow blur drops from a tree and lands on top of one of the smaller crab-things. As it is no longer moving, Rob is able to get a better look at it. Rob decides that the creature has sated its hunger for now and will not be a threat to him, so he approaches one of the crabs and places the leaf in front of it. The crab moves over top, making a few small holes in the leaf, but leaves the majority of it untouched. {5} Rob realizes that the creature was making puncture points to suck water out of the leaf, as the leaf now looks drier and flatter than it did before. Rob tries to pet the crab, but it is simply too dumb, and it flattens itself to the ground, absorbing its legs back into its shell.

"Um guys, we might be in more danger then we know."

Look up for anymore of the yellow things, if I see them leave the forest, preferably picking up the dropped glass water fruit

I know. I'll make some spears in case there are more of those.
Quickly find some long, sturdy sticks, and sharpen them into spears using my hand-axe. Once I have at least six, or can't find any more sticks, hand a spear to anyone who wants one.

Continue to obsess over these interesting creatures. Approach the yellow creature and offer it my fruit that the crab didn't take. Be very cautious.

To Spiderking50/Rob
Stay away from that. That thing's fast, and we can't do much if it bites you somewhere important.
To fillipk/Mary
I'm making one for everybody.

"Ugh, the fruit!"

Rush over to the broken fruit.  Put my finger in the juice and taste it.  Examine the smell and taste of the inside part of the fruit.  After that, resume my search for water.

@Alan
The crabs don't seem to like those, I'd be careful. Has anyone tried one yet?

"Maybe sniff it first?  Also it's probably just water and the yellow things get their water from them, the shell things would probably need to eat the skin while the yellow things just bore on through."

Speaking of water, we'll need to find some soon. If this fruit is potable then it will be good as a temporary water source, but we should look for a river or stream.

[Mary]
[5] Now that Mary looks carefully, she can definitely see a few more of the yellow creatures, slumbering peacefully in the trees. Still, she decides to take no chances, and leaves the treeline. Out of the trees she can now see better around her. The hill slopes gently upwards to a small clearing with patches of grass on it, and further down, the rocky landscape changes into a lush forest, teeming with life.

[Alan]
[{Hidden}] Alan quickly kneels down and puts his finger in a patch of the liquid, before putting it up to his mouth to taste it. It tastes... delicious. Alan can't stop himself from drinking more. He lifts up a chunk of the broken shell and quickly slurps down the remainder of the liquid. His stomach growls.

[Eric]
[4] Eric whittles away a 1 1/2 foot long stick he locates on the ground to a point. However, due to time constraints, he is only able to finish that one. (Turns only take place over a few minutes right now :P Whittling isn't instant.)

[Rob]
[5] Rob boldly approaches the feasting creature and lays the fruit in front of it. Finishing up the crab (Is that what you've named it?), the creature turns it's eye to the fruit. It walks over, investigates the fruit, then immediately pelts in the other direction. Seems like the inhabitants of this planet really thing this fruit isn't a very good thing.

The sun begins to set.

[So, yeah, the "Glasswater" is not intended for ingestion. It has a very different purpose. Anyone got a barf bag for Alan?]

(I've just been imagining triangle shaped crabs. Isn't that what they look like?)

"According to the Yellow Swoopers the tricrabs are good eating, however, the fruit are not." I look around the area and try to get an understanding of it all in my mind. (We are in a group of tries, surrounded by barren rocks, anything else?)
