[Of course. I'll only describe what you can see, as you cannot see the underside of them.]

[Rob]
The creatures have a carapace which resembles a triangle with rounded edges, with the flat side on the front and the rounded end on the back. Their carapace covers their entire top side, and they are low to the ground, preventing you from seeing below. You occasionally see a small leg poke out the side of the creature, and judging from the amount of them, the creature must have at least ten to a side. The creature has no spots for eyes, meaning it either has eyes on the bottom or doesn't have any at all. No mouth is visible, but it's likely on the under-carapace. Judging by the scythes they used earlier, picking it up may be unwise, but you never know how it will respond.

"Hmm...that fruit up there might be edible.  I'll try to get some down for us"

Search nearby for a long stick or broken branch that isn't too heavy for an aged man such as myself.  If I find one, try to use the stick to knock down several fruits from the tree above me, at least 1 fruit per person.  If I succeed, place my stick/branch down and examine one of the fruits more closely, especially its texture and smell.

((Okay well they haven't left, what I meant was follow them if the start leaving us, since we need water.))

"Here let me help"

Attempt to catch the fruit that are being knocked down and hand them to someone else to hold

If I get a fruit, feed some to the largest crab-thing and see what happens. Be very careful of the scythes.

[Alan]
[5] Alan easily finds a long, dark grey stick on the forest floor. It's heavy, but it has a long reach, and he can manage it. Using the stick, he manages to dislodge a few of the fruits. Seven fruits fall from the tree in quick succession. Someone else catches the fruits and then hands one to Alan. Alan examines his fruit. The surface is almost glassy and semi-transparent, and there is quite a lot of fluid inside. The surface is smooth, and it feels like the skin will be inedible.

[Mary]
[4] The old man grabs a stick and knocks seven fruit down from the tree. Mary manages to catch six, missing the fifth one. Mary examines the fruit. The surface is almost glassy and semi-transparent, and there is quite a lot of fluid inside. The surface is smooth, and it feels like the skin will be inedible. She shrugs, and passes one off to the old man, and another to a guy carefully observing the crabs.

[Rob]
[4] Rob gets a fruit from a woman after the old man knocks some down and she catches them. He looks at the fruit. The surface is almost glassy and semi-transparent, and there is quite a lot of fluid inside. The surface is smooth, and it feels like the skin will be inedible. He decides to let the crab-like creature decide whether it's edible or not, and places it in front of it. The creature moves over to the fruit eagerly, but the moment it touches it, it pushes it away, and otherwise ignores the fruit. Whatever it was, the crab finds it obviously inedible.

Well the crabs don't like them. What do you all think?

"I think we should cut one open.  Anyone got a sharp object?"

Look for something to cut the fruit open with, see what happened to the fruit I missed and make sure the turtle crabs don't wander off too far.

"Thanks for the catching them, lass.  These Glasswater fruits do have quite a bit of liquid.  Hopefully they are edible.  This could be our only water source.  Hm, I'll check around to be sure."

Look for a nearby source of water.

If you want a sharp object, you're going to have to make one yourself. Speaking of, I'll make us some tools. Someone else should help the old man search for water, in case something goes wrong.
Search for a rock that looks like it will make a good hand-axe, and another rock that will make a good hammerstone. Once I find them, use the latter to knap the former into a decent hand-axe. If Mary is still trying to cut open the fruit, guve her the hand-axe.

Julia looked around, observing her environment. She didn't feel too safe, considering that the little herbivore creatures already seem to have some defensive measures of their own. Besides, they might be able to use the ability to hunt to their advantage.

She had no idea why they were there, but she might as well start adapting to the situation as soon as possible.

Pick up materials to form a spear, if possible. Do the same thing one of the others did and try to shape a rock into a sharp point. Next, get a long branch. Finally, find some sturdy, vine-like material to use to join the parts into a spear. If any of this materials are not achievable, then follow in the wake of my acquaintances and simply shape a "hand-axe" as well. For the moment, at least.

I pick up other kinds of vegetation to see what the crab will eat. I also try to befriend the crab and pet the crab if it will let me.

Eric speaks to the others while he works.
Is it just me, or have all of you lost your memory as well?
