Was he? I only skimmed through what I missed b/c exams.

A wasp could sting your lizard, paralyse it for life, implant its babies in your lizard's abdomen, then the babby wasp would eat your lizard from the inside out, avoiding major organs to keep your lizard alive as long as possible. The Aliens in AvP? Wasp rip-offs.
Wasps are a lot scarier if you know this.

What if the lizard's skin is too thick?

Insane, wasps only do that to other bugs as far as I know. Also Lizard skin is usually tough.

A few character concepts I came up with because of Dexters impending doom I was bored. Let me know what you think.

Arcanism>Illusion>control of perception?
Arcanism>??>light

Some kind of master-of-illusion character. Wasn't quite sure how to phrase the spells. First one is just creating general illusions, second is control of light.

Occultism>transport>portal
Arcanism>transport>blink

Extremely mobile guy. Wasn't sure what the school would be called though.

Occultism>buff>stat
Occultism>healing>close wound

Similar in function to Regon, but less shamany. Again, not sure how to phrase it.

Sharpshooting
Weapons
Stealth(maybe)

Terran sniper.

Arcanism>Elemental>wind
Arcanism>Elemental>earth
Martial arts(maybe)

Inspired by Avatar the Last Airbender. Basically an Airbender and an earthbender at the same time. Probably a monk.

Sounds interesting, but you'll have to keep terrain and enemies in mind.

Based on what I know about Gaia, the missions will likely be more about force and magic than precision and stealth.

Yeah I haven't really used stealth in the game. Maybe it'll be more useful later on but if we're doing more missions like this in the future only high level stealth would be even somewhat considered.

True. Though we do have a number if magic users already. We could probably use someone who could take out targets at range, though I admit I have only ever seen one instance where the enemy even could be sniped.

Would be Illusion>Type of Perception. (Sight, Sound, Emotion, Taste, Light, and so on)

Would be Arcanic>Shift
Rift>Plane of Existence of your choice (Water, Fire, Darkness, Cheese, Bean Dip, Valhalla, Frozen Hell, and so on)
Voidic>Fade

Buff>Stat isn't really plausible. Magic is conceptual. Anything can theoretically induce buffs if you use it right.

You'd want Biomancy>Mending for the most direct route of healing. But stuff like Elementalism>Life or Shamanism>Growth can invoke healing.

You'd want Heavy Arms if I recall. All the snipers be Heavy Arms. (Maybe one Medium Arms one)

Elementalism>Wind
Elementalism>Earth

Both would work. You could throw in something like martial arts if you really wanna pull an Airbender style thing.

All skills are situational. Stealth is Very useful if used right.

Buff>stat was just a generalization. That character would be extremely similar to Regon, spits pretty low on my list of priorities.

The idea of the combat monk is really growing on me.

Ok, so I was playing around designing my Airbender character and I had a question about this racial ability for Gaian humans

Quote from:  Races doc
[non-explosive, medieval era weapon] 1/2/3: The importance of combat is taught to all children from a young age; young children commonly play in the streets with wooden swords or spears. Women are less combat-oriented, but are expected to be able to at least hunt with a bow at a young age.

What does this mean in terms of melee skill? Do they get discounts?

They just get a couple free points in a chosen melee skill. No discount.
