My first instinct says that cats are actually regressed precursors. Second is that they are the results of precursor science/travel.

I'm glad! Cats are the most adorable animal in the world! Every squad should a couple cat overlords!
I love my cat and anyone who says otherwise is traitor scum who shall be reported to the authorities, right Comrades?  :P

By definition anyone who takes care of a cat has a cat overlord.

Correct comrade! I don't own a cat but someone I live with does. It is adorable.

I kind of expected someone to distract Tal with questions while Ratodx started gasping on the floor from giggling.

That reminds me, have details about religions native to Gaia been figured out or should we just BS details to our own purposes?

I doubt Akaras allows religious accommodations unless there's an actual benefit to it. Such as a real god being involved.

Khaiden doesn't believe in good or evil and points out that with magic a "god" is little different than a sufficiently powerful Magi with a few added abilities.

It's called "fleshing out", not "BS details". And no, the company wouldn't give it a rat's arse, but it's still important to superstition-ridden primitives.

The only somewhat religion is the primary Elven one. And of that it's basically as follows:

Elven primarydeity summoned a champion (Who happened to be an extraplaniar communist conscript trooper) during the war with the dwarves around 4 centuries ago.
Champion begins preaching assorted misremembered socialism, primarily misremembered due to his nature as a fanatical uneducated conscript.
Champion proceeded to fight the dwarves to a standstill over the next decade and brokered peace with the offer of vodka or something silly like that. This engagement is what finally prompted the dwarves to try to learn how to make guns.
Champion returned to Elven lands and proceeded to lead a communist revolution against the Extremely unpopular Elven Monarch of the time. This instituted the communist priesthood.
Champion died of old age at the wizened age of 127 after living in retirement peacefully for decades. (Due to being technically a mostly human, life extended a tad by elven healers.), leaving behind a 'holy' relic that is in fact an AK-47.
The Elves have been culturally stagnant since. Learning is dangerous. Although it would not be difficult for the elves to Reverse Engineer the AK-47, nobody outside the priesthood is allowed near it due to its status as 'holy.'
Akras shows up in a metal 'dragon' and demands a Magi in exchange for an elven scout damaging a drone.
Elven Magi Ichabold is added to the Foxhound Magi fireteam. (S)He enjoys the running water immensely.

Beyond that, specific details aren't fleshed.

I concede the point. What most people flesh out, I tend to conjure up last second and string together details as inspiration strikes. It's gotten me into more games than I've had any right to in all honesty.

I'd guess that Akras's policy is not a rat's ass in caring, as long as it doesn't conflict with other policies.

How popular is communism among the Elves now? Is everyone totally brainwashed or are there some dissidents?
