So, it seems you guys have a medic, a dedicated combat, and a scientist. So maybe a techie or tech/combat character would be useful?

Any guy with tech will be useful.

And I suppose the game feels somewhat rushed, don't worry though, I'm a better writer/author/DM than the previous one. :) I'll make sure to give you guys something fun to play! ;)

Noted. The issue is that I spend almost all my money on the weapon and only get the 1 clip. But it should be fine, I'll figure something out.

I also see a very worrying lack of traps and lockpick skills...

We already have a Gauss Rifle, so spend money on a suppression weapon.

There was that "Storm Trooper Light Machine Rifle", which fits that bill. 20 units though, and the clips are 15- although it is a 100 shots a clip.

So, heavy weapons, explosives, and traps person.

Oh, and do I get that 4xp so I'm at relatively equal strength, or am I coming in a newbie?

You're coming in as a newbie, and the first clip will come free with the purchase of the weapon.

I know, I was just worrying about having only one clip.

Granted, with the amount of combat last mission, one clip might be enough.

I plan on having Tal class into drones and turrets if he survives. Be rather nice to have expendable units.

Um. . . If you could do me a favor an, when you all edit your character sheets, post the updated versions for me, either here or in the other topic, so i can paste them up together before vkinm starts the new mission.
I plan on investing them to get medium arms level 4, and acrobatics level 5.

I can do that right? Character creation is still confusing. Btw, what did you mean when you wrote this sentence?

Quote
Every two points put to a skill increases it by one more from the default.  List your effective skill level on your character sheet.

By any chance did you mean every two points put into a skill increases its cost by one more from the default?

Basically it explains the benifit of upping that stat level.
Every two levels you have in a stat ups your roll by +1.
So, if you were rolling for firing a pistol, and you had two in small fire arms, you would roll 3d6+1 instead of just a 3d6

Aren't lower rolls better?

I change them to minuses when i roll, yes. And yes, lower rolls are better. Once again, I didnt make the system, a close friend did. Even he was a bit shocked when he looked back on it for our behalf.
