You exited the castle, but, remember that those stairs are half a human hight each. Your not at the bottom, but still near the tom, 3/20 steps near the top.

I though there were 3 steps.

It didnt take long for the open side Chinooks to land out in front of the castle. It was a large, nearly overbaring structure of seemingly Medieval French design. It was too large. Each step up to the castles main door, of which there were three, were half an average mans hight. You all would have to climb up from here if you cant find an alternate way in.

Although, reading that again, I have to admit it might also mean there are 3 doors.

Falling down onto the stone floor on your face causing 2 damage is nearly equivalent to  getting shot unarmored by a .22 pistol at point-blank.

Wll, you have missing bones, and things that those bones were connected to are moving around freely in your chest, including other bones. And its near your heart.
All it takes is one good scratch, which is what they are trying to prevent.

I still can't see that doing equivalent damage to being shot in the face by a pistol unarmored. At most half a point of damage.

Lets say he dropped you on your chest, somehow, and reopened the wound without opening your heart.

This is a true, but misleading fact. It assumes shot causes no serious damage (so, no bones, no arteries, definitely no brains or spines) you can, basically, unload your whole magazine into an average human in this manner, and assuming immediate medical attention, she will live the rest of her life just fine (physically I mean. Mentally this experience is bound to mess one up).

being shot in the face by a .22 pistol

is 4 points of damage. And being shot through the brain (rather than, say, the cheek) is 8.
And being shot in the face with a 9mm round unarmored  is 18. (thank Science for helmets, amirite?)
