Akras have grown massively since the Original Chargen. They even have research on Magic, now!

Though Gaia magic and Terran magic is quite different, as Gaia Magic is more what one would call Sorcery. Less about studying it and more about 'feeling' it, runes are more flowing, more like an Art form.

While Terran Magic is studied, broken down and then understood. To Terran, magic is just another form of science where runes are written with precise and specific words and language, kind of like how one would program a computer program. Mathematical, sturdy, precise and logical. Once understood can be easily shared, programmed to an etching machine and mass-produce wards on a large scale onto equipment or metal plates.

The fact that the source of Terran Magic is from Eldritch horrors is irrelevant. Ignoring the warnings and instructions and causing your own death and the death of those in the immediate surroundings via impregnation by an Eldritch cow is your own damned fault.

Always read the instructions, people. Magic are not toys.

OP really needs an update. Notably get rid of that playercap thing down at the bottom. Make the spot that lists what people have available on chargen more noticable. Maybe stick it into the example sheet spoiler. Once I finish statting all the Gaian races stick the link of that in there also. (Dorfs, elves, and Kobolds be statted now.)

Zomara. Please replace the bottom half of the OP with the following. I have recieved three complaints about the lack of clarity for character creation by prospective players so I've clarified it as well as updated it to the character creation system we've been using for the last six or so months.

Quote

The rulebook

Setting:
You all play as sapients who work for the Akras corporation, going though the 'Gate' in order to find artifacts for your company and subjugate the natives.

This will not be an easy game, and, one should expect many gruesome deaths right off the bat should they make poor choices.

Refer to the racial statting doc for the averages of racial stats. You may move these around as you please. So long as you do not lower a stat below 6. Should a race start with stats in that range, it is fine to leave it as such. As a player character, you get 5 extra Health. You'll need it.

Vigor and Health function on a 2 for 1 relative to other stats. 2 hp/Vigor for 1 statpoint. Or 1 statpoint for 2 Vigor/Hp. A statpoint costs 5 skillpoints, this matters later. You cannot convert statpoints into skillpoints or vice versa during chargen.

You are also given 25 Credits to spend on your equipment. You may however be able to requisition more.. Exotic gear.

Have fun.

Spoiler: Updated Jon sheet. (click to show/hide)

I wonder if I should start putting points into Heavy Arms. I'm pretty sure Jon could carry a weapon designed to be vehicle-mounted.

Not if we want something to not be smeared across the landscape~

Levels of escelation you see. Can't mount the head of a Wyrm on one's wall if it's pasted across the horizon.

Aria can just get some mod for her Exosuit, I think. Some sort of an Anchor or support that stabilizes her against the ground so she can shoot an even bigger Gauss.

Or could work into more precision and get smaller, faster-firing Gauss.

Gauss assault rifle would be so devastating.

When did Frazz find the points for Level 5 Xenobio and Level 5 Xenopale?

Both of those are Very Hard skills. Costing 4 points per level. Which means you'd quite literally need to spend 40 points on em.

Just reread the example sheet Neri posted; did we scrap the exponentially difficult levelling? I recall hard skills use to go 3 + 5 + 7 or something like that where it increased the cost as you levelled. In the example sheet Neri provided at top of the page, a hard skill just goes 3 + 3 + 3 now. Does that mean I have to restat my sheet?

Spoiler: Insanegame27 (click to show/hide)

I done my sheet
