"Said miles away means you can focus on the fliers more then anything else. Did I mention the fliers really need to die?"

"You do know that the missile launchers on the gunships run parallel to the body? That means that when landed they run parallel to the ground? Which means that when they launch they travel horizontally until they can maneuver themselves up?"

"Because reloading is a million times easier if the housing is rigid. Box launchers are great, but there's no capability to reload mid-air. With a design like the Ravager you can have an internal and interchangeable stock of munitions."

"Couldn't you have the launcher have two states though? Loading position and launching position? Launching being the aiming as previously suggested. Loading being where the launcher locks into place to reload from an internal mechanism?""

"Because when they designed the class they never imagined them firing from the ground, assuming that the ship would be up when in operation."

"And that is the reason for flares, ECM and chaff. Gunships are designed to fight in the air, not from the ground."

"Launching a Tarantula-Hawk," Zach says, Attempting to lock onto the worm and firing the aforementioned missile.

It's incredibly difficult to lock to the target, but your missile manages. Though even after you've locked to the strange heat signature, the computer warns that you're firing a missile from a grounded vehicle from a missile rack several feet off the ground and it won't let you fire without manual safety override.

Override?
