Said random Intern flees the field, and returned some times later with three Iron knives!

3D printers sure are useful!

He also got a hammer and chisel as asked.

Tal looked through some more stuff, but most of the simple ones aren't much more than Trinkets, and a good gun is still much more effective than doing it. There of course are some more sophisticated 'spells'-like things, but that required elaborate reagents and rituals.

Even as something as simple as 'Flash, Bang.' which is described as emitting a light as bright as the sun and a crack as loud as lightning needed a mixture of bone meal, sand and grounded saltpeter. Which you recognize as potassium nitrate. While some of the reagents doesn't seems to make sense, some does. And it's border-lining alchemy and magic.

You're certain that you can make a pipe flashbang with greater effect without the help of some eldritch powers. But you suppose people in the era of Castles and Kings would consider a flashbang powers beyond the imagination of mortals.

All and all, for a man raised in a place where such luxuries were rare, and super over indulging in them, he was handling himself quite well, though, walking into three different rooms piss drunk, and mumbling something about looking for a strong woman, and turning down every girl that tried to throw herself at him because "Promises are kept not broken".
Everyone that tried to help him back to his room he pushed off because he had to go see the city for the first time.
Eventually, 15 minutes after Aria arrived, so did Vigil.

" Sorry I'm late. I took a couple wrong turns. I got a deck of cards, though." he drops several of the board games he acquired from GM knows where, and searches though his pockets, pulling out various unmentionables, until he reached a deck of cards he took off some intern with a promise to pay him back.

The Pilot and their cargo handlers paused when they saw that the entire camp is covered in eldritch runes coated in blood. And rotting monkey corpses everywhere..

They decide that they didn't get paid enough for this..

"Nah, it's fine. I got lost on the way here, too. This place can be so confusing sometimes, right? Right then... Cards?" Aria says. He hadn't mentioned cards, but she was interested as to what he wanted to play.

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

Walking into the room looking slightly haggard but excited Zander walks in the room, scrunching his nose at the now stronger smell.

Jesus what were you doing in here guys I came down because i've found some exciting new mission applications for my plants and.........

Pausing for second taking in the whole scene and seeing Jon and Frazz working on two iron knifes and Tal looking through a book. The book that has writings and pictures that would be at home in an H.P Lovecraft book, no seriously what the hell are you guys doing because i'm a tad alarmed??

( vkiNm by the way i'm sensing some SCP influence, am I right by chance??)

"We used to play it back at the orphanage, before it shut down. I will teach you."
A few hours later there could be heard much laughter, a few bangs, a bottle opening. More laughter. A deep conversation. And then, before the two knew it, they were back in their respective beds. Most of the night, passing in a rapid blur.

[You wouldn't be wrong. :3]

Looking through the trinket rituals, Tal find ones that seems to be mundane enough. Sow low-tier reality bending such as causing sparks of fire, rush of air and the likes. It's definitely not natural, but not exactly fireball-throwing kind of magic.

Arthur's barfight ended quickly enough when Security had to pour into the room to detain people. More than a few people got Tazered. What's Arthur going to do during that?

Arthur attempts to jump kick Zachery, but due to his drunkness, he ends up missing and hitting an intern instead. Eventually he lands on the floor. When he doesn't move, people get worried but then they hear him snoring. Probably passed out from all the drinks.

A kind benefactor takes him back to his room and tucks him in. Guess the day is over now.

Lets use the ancient naval art of training war parrots. No one will realize they have been boarded by space war parrots until it is to late!
You can fake being able to run on water. You can't fake looking cool when you break your foot on a door and hit your head on the floor.

Well lets see what's needed to make the trinket. A low maintenance thing with those effects would be useful.

Magic.....why am I not surprised, well let me help I can at least engrave this other knife with these symbols you're doing. But Tal I found two applicable purposes for my plants, one is a healing salve. It is almost instantly effective and sealed up the last of one of the recovering interns wounds in a couple minutes, while modern stuff is much better and doesn't leave nasty scars. This can be used by all of us in case of emergencies it need only be applied to the wound, so no first-aid training necessary. The more serious wounds should still be seen by Jon and the other doctors however.

By this point Zander is engraving the various symbols that book instructs onto the knife the third knife. The second is a tea brewed from the leaves that is a strong painkiller. There is was no drowsiness or loss of motor function, I was able to work out without filling tired or the burn of my muscles. The downside is that you feel all the exhaustion at once after it wears off, so it should not be used often. This will basically allow us to function optimally despite exhaustion or our wounds, and take on targets without getting tired through the fight.

With your permission i'd like to make little bottles of salve for one for everyone on our team, and also a thermos of the tea for everyone as well. A syringe would probably work as well if you like for the tea, but i'll have to test and see if it as effective or lasts as long in the bloodstream.
