"Alright." Jenny climbs down from the roof and back into the safety of the Vehicle before pulling her mask over her.

The team was able to quickly unload one of the drones and activate it, you can set it to do a task automatically or manually control it via your computer.

The guys in the medical car also get their masks on, better be extra careful after all. Plus even if it's nothing demonic, blackpowder smoke is still not healthy for the lung when inhaled in large quantities anyway.

You're hearing the unmistakable rattling sounds of gunfire coming from the fort now, though. And they still can't seems to aim for shit, you think you saw some dirt kicking up some distance away, and there was a lucky ping when a bullet ricocheted from the ground and then off of the deployed drone's armor.

"I hope they don't know how to reload." Jenny said hopefully.

"On the bright side, the other guys would probably have had better aim than these monsters. Not that it helped them." Maximus noted morbidly.

Manually control the Drone. Have it move into range before gunning down the Spikers. Odds are is they aren't firing something of high enough caliber to even dent the armor.

"Anyone else notice we have a tendency to siege?"

"Well, this is a castle. That's how people have always done it back in the old days."

True, I'd rather play it safe and whittle down the enemy. Then go out guns blazing and get destroyed. How long do you recoken we ought to stay inside the vehicles ??

"That doesn't sound very glorious, but the safety it provides and a good chance of success isn't something to argue with." Maximus commented.

The lone drone bravely walks towards into range, shrugging off what lucky bullets managed to hit it's hull.

You realize that it feel almost as if playing a video game when you manually control the drone like this, the crosshair definitely help your aim as you make the drone fire it's main gun, whittling away at the defense while you're sitting comfortably just beyond the enemy's attacking range.

Seeing that their weapons are doing shit-all at this range, the Defenders began jumping over the walls and running for the drone. And while they're faster than the Drone is, they're not armed to the teeth like your little killerbot.

Ahh.. the joy of modern combat. Where you sit in a comfy chair and murder people using a controlled drone doing the fighting for you. If the car had some movie flashdrives you could probably plug it in and let the rest of the squad chill and watch some Classics or Comedy meanwhile.

After all, how could one stay frightened in a battlefield if it feel so boring?

Everyone gets a temporary boost in will defense.

Have the drone move back a bit to prolong the distance that they need to run. Keep shooting.

"Should we start shooting too?" Jenny asked as she looks at the worrisome numbers of what you designated as 'Spikers' running and shooting at the drone to little effect. Although you're sure that it'll have much more success stabbing at your drone if they goes along the line with all other enemies.

You didn't have to wait long before the incoming pesudo-horde is well within the range of your Vehecular-mounted .50 cals.

Once someone starts shooting the gun into their general direction, the support vehicle opens up as well, seeing what's going on.

The Drone that you sent have seems to have ran out of ammo, having been holding down the trigger for several good seconds and spitting out high velocity lead in a wonderfully rapid fashion. Several cracks from the spikers could actually be felt now the closer they are, some that hits a good spot on the drone is actually nudging it a little, throwing the aim a little off.

Jenny couldn't wait any longer and rolled down the window to start shooting her rifle at the incoming group's general direction, not really aiming for anything specific. It is about now at this range that you've noticed that even the high caliber bullets you're shooting at them aren't tearing through as many bodies as they did to the rushers, and that really made cutting down the horde with ranged capabilities that much harder. Although their shooting still doesn't seems to be threatening anyone but your drone just yet.
