"It's a sustained portal and a fair amount of fiddling. Overall, quite easy once one knows the theory."

It has been determined that Trump is an average unladen swallow travelling northbound at his maximum sustainable speed of -3 Obama-cubits per second in the middle of a class 3 hurricane.

"We already are actually. The topographic threshold is.. About twelve meters to your left. Not something imminently noticeable until one is right up against it."

"I see.  Well, truthfully, I did not immediately see, yet nevertheless."

12 meters leftwards we go, and into the Null.  Preferably after looking at our guide here.

Spoiler: H.C. Cheshire (click to show/hide)
Minus the national emblems and playing cards, this is more or less what he looks like. Seems as though he most definitely went with a theme and stuck with it.

Anyways. As you approach the designated location, you note the horizon.. Parts. A solid sheet of black stretching further and further as you approach, until the point that it encompasses your view entirely. You could probably.. Reach out and poke the blackness.

That said, Fel doesn't particularly feel like poking it herself, so she pokes it with a warded metal stick.

"Well, then.  Myew're cute~.  Anywho, shall we?"

The stick sorta just.. Passes through. The blackness seems to have an almost waterlike density.

"We shall."

Without missing a beat. Cheshire simply walks directly into the blackness. Vanishing from view.

You submerse yourself within the inky blackness that is the Null. For but a moment, it feels like water.

And then? The sensation fades. The air is Still.

Silence reigns.

All is Void.

Spoiler: You open your eyes. (click to show/hide)

The Null

Ancient structures loom through the inky Blackness. Illuminated by a Lack, the Lack trickling in through many many Many small Rifts, Tears, and Holes.

Something, or rather Nothing, Shifts deep down below. Massive, it stretches as far as the eye can see. What it is? You do not know.

A ferris wheel slowly turns in the distance, you can almost hear the haunting lack of carnival songs.

Elsewhere, a clocktower rings. The bell's tolling sharply contrasting the otherwise Silent environment.

Cheshire simply stands there. Waiting as you take it all in.

Once more Rook was left alone. He'd wander idly for a bit, then would start asking people how he could find that Tal person who kept talking through the walls. Since for a second time he'd been left without his guide, maybe that person would be able to fill in blanks and get him less... well, lost.

Laz, who is also wandering the ship, soon encounters the newbie. Without thinking, he switches his form to look like him.

"Hmm, needs a bit more detail in the hair.

Anything I can help you with, or are you wandering aimlessly for no reason as well?"

"Aunt set up shop within it, however I do not believe she constructed it. The majority of the structures are of unknown origin. Likely simply structures that slipped through the cracks."
