The Hydraulics groaned as if something's trying to open it hard enough to make modern blast door groan.

"MMMM, HMMMM." The entity rubbed his non-existant chin again in thoughts. "I'M WAITING FOR THE CONTRACT TO BE FORMED, ACTUALLY. SO STRICTLY SPEAKING, I DON'T NEED TO DO A DAMN THING FOR ANY OF YOU UNTIL THEN. AND YOU KNOW WHAT? THIS IS GOING TO BE FUN!"

"Fire off another barrage of napalm. Lets clear the vicinity."

"Don't think we can do that, Boss. We use Mortars or the big cannon to fire the Napalms, the Mortars will need Techies to operate them, and the Cannon's tucked in. The Techie's hiding somewhere and I'm pretty sure if they open a hole to shoot mortars from, whatever's out there will come in here. Plus I think the Techies knows this, too. So good luck trying to convince them to do that." Says Steve skeptically.

Ichabod have resulted to using that crystal on his necklace to draw on his forearm, making flowing, delicate runes that are much more like art than the precise and mathematical ones that you uses.

"Ichabold. You seem to be doing something. What?"

"Protective wards. In case they got inside." Said the Elven mage as he finishes on his first arm and then starts on the second.

While this is going on, and the entrance groaned once again, Bill reclines on an invisible chair while holding up a popcorn bucket filled with teeth. The entity pretends to eat it, but he's got no mouth and the teeth just got smushed against him before it fell onto the ground messily.

"Boss, hate to ask this but, what if the enemy's incorporeal? that might explain why fire isn't working.." Maximus asked worryingly.

"Then we spend the unconfirmed humans on the wards. However it is very rare for an entity's entourage to be fully Incorporeal."

"Steve look for which wards are reacting and tweak the energy fl- Oooh. I just thought of something I really should have thought of earlier."

"Know how all the laser rifles are using heatsink stones? Lets take one apart and transfer the stored energy into the node rune. Couple that with just shooting it with more laser every so often to keep it active.."

"... Infinitely heat-powered runes, Boss?" Steve asked as Maximus hands the man his Laser rifle to disassemble.

"Will need proper sciencing later for a proper generator but it should make basic rune maintenance much easier. That and it's perfect for this scenario."

Steve disassemble a laser gun and extract the heatsink stone. "Gentlemen.. today we achieve purely infinite energy."

"Well technically reactors aren't infinite. Just long lifespan. Long as materials exist though, should allow for a stable feedback loop."
