With the bugs falling back, it gave people ample chance to shoot at Zach's legs.

With more than 6 laser rifles aimed at his legs, crossing streams, it was impossible not to hit him.

The pain hits you like a freight train, you feel your pants legs burned away from the intense concentrated heat of 6 laser rifles, your flesh cooked in your cloth, your fat boils and pops, your bones charred, then, after all the abuse, it could take no more and your newly obtained legs just.. Explodes from the extreme heat.

The pain was excruciating, so much that the hive had to cut you off from the system less they too are driven insane from such pain.

This is NOT a good pain. You're on the ground, you think you hear screams and then realize that it is your own, your legs have been burned off, only small, charred stumps are left connected to your hip. Maybe you would've had something leg, as badly charred as it may be, had your pants not exploded from it's magical enchantment being overloaded.

The bugs flee, and the Doctors from the Halftrack ran over towards Zach. He may still attack them if he wants to try.


Vigil manages to slip a hand free from his bondage.

Free from the hivemind, Zach closes his eyes and makes no attempt to fight

"Tranq him before he does anything. That slit between the helmet and the lower neck. Then patch up the stumps. I'm revoking his leg privlages for the rest of the excursion. Which shouldn't be longer then a day. We don't exactly have spare legs anyways. How does one manage to go through four legs in a single outing?"

"Vahrik toss an incendiary down the tunnel after the bugs. Stop em from coming back. After that.. Everyone load up on the halftrack and drop Vigil and Zach off here before going after Vigils sword. Speaking of which. Maximus? Status?"

"Translation's done, Boss. They're chattering up a storm." Maximus reported. "It seems to have been decided that this Sword is their god now."

[~Neri]

A quiet "Aaaaaaaaaaaauuugh." can be heard over the comms.

"Is Vigil awake? Does he Need his sword? Someone go ask him."

Vigil will quickly undo the restraints and get up and sneak his way out. He needed to find his pet. He needed to stop frazz from killing it or killing himself. Wait. . . .  Where was he?

A Doctor looked back to see Vigil strumble off of the Halftrack as an incendiary grenade was chucked into the hole.

"He's up, Boss." Dr. Hu informed as he walks over to Vigil. "Hey, do you really need your sword?" Hu asked.

"Give him a tablet so he can get on comms. I'm pretty sure his helmet is FUBAR."

"Yes. Were is it? Were is my pet? Were is Frazz?"

[vkiNm]

"Your Sword is a god now, Frazz and your.. 'pet' were subdued and is being carried back to base." Dr. Hu answered.

[~Neri]

"Speaking of which. Make sure the damned griffon stays tranqed. If Frazz filtered the tranqs out of his system that fast then we don't want it waking up outside of a storage container."

"Great. I request that Tal has Frazz fixed. And I am going to go get my sword now."
Vigil walks off to the left before stoping four steps away, and turning back around.

"Where is it?"

[~Neri]

"Get him back in the halftrack please. Tell him he needs new armor before he goes fighting something again. In reality I want him to not break his ribs again but that excuse is the most likely to get him to comply."

[vkiNm]

"Yeeah, we're going to need to get you fitted in new armor first before you go fight anything. So uh, just go lay down on the stretcher until we get home? we'll go get your sword once you're armored up." Dr. Hu said.

[~Neri]

"I mean. It's not really a lie. His armor, as with his helmet. Is completely FUBAR."
