Frazz calls out

"Hello? We come in peace!"

"They don't speak english Frazz. However keep em talking anyways. Let the translator do its thing."

The Recon's Heat vision can see that the elven detachment have already arrived within what is presumably to be their effective combat range as the group spread out into a semi-circle, semi-surrounding Vigil and Frazz. A slowish-moving bolt shot up from one of the elves towards the recon drone, it's Anti-Ballistic believed that it's an incoming missile and swivel over before beginning to spit a hail of bullets at it, except that the bolt did not explode or seems to be hindered by bullets hitting it and just kept going. Super-velocity lead turned into droplets of slags as it passed through intense magical heat.

Noticing that it's defense system seems to have failed, the Recon did the next best thing it can do and activate boosters, pushing it's speed to breaking the sound barrier in 3 seconds flat. Leaving the Area and the bolt far behind it, unable to catch up despite it curving mid-air to follow.

"Be advised, we've just lost visuals over the OA." A. Carmine Comm'd.

"Sigh. Silly elves. If they make an aggressive move towards Frazz and Vigil. We're firing a napalm shell at their gathering site. We don't really need to be accurate. Just detonate it midair. I am disinterested in casualties."

The Carmines brothers paused, looked at each others for a moment then B. Carmine asks "Are you sure boss? There's children there as well and the others might have a problem with us napalming children."

"If the elves choose to attack a diplomatic envoy without provocation then they are no better then the Hive we left behind and as such will be treated like so. A threat to be ground under our boots. They are not sapients until proven otherwise. For all we know those 'children' are in fact lovecraftian horrors wearing the skins of children. Now that's unlikely sure, however until otherwise proven, they are not desginated sapients. Therefore, those are not children until proven otherwise, and the only reason we are bothering with this attempt at diplomacy is to confirm or deny sapience. Upon confirmation further diplomacy is an option. Should sapience be determined to be false. We will burn them until they die as Akras has a very clear policy for how we are intended to handle eldritch horrors."

The Carmines brothers looks at each others again, shrugs and then return to their consoles. "I'll find us a firing solution." Says B. Carmine as A. Carmine switches the screen to the ground-based drone, using it's heat sensors to feed the location of the elves to both Frazz and Vigil so they can see where the hidden elves are.

[~Neri]

"Aaanyways. Ideally it will not come to that as that is a complete waste of resources. Status of the arcane projectile the elves fired and status of the elf group moving towards Vigil and Frazz?"

"The projectile that was following our Recon drone seems to have dispersed after a distance, and the Elves are holding the Semi-Circle." The Carmines reported. "Annnd it looks like about half of them is showing themselves."

As they said this, the half of the detachment that directed themselves to be in front of Frazz and Vigil came out with their bows drawn, obvious magic glowing at the tip. They yelled something at Frazz and Vigil but it's all gibberish to you.

"Just keep em talking till the app starts working. Only need basic words for now."

Zach resumes meditation and mumbles to himself. In a maybe-faked coughing fit he looks at Tal. The coughing fit sounds remarkably like the word 'heartless prick'

"Medical testing shows that I do in fact have the organ known as a 'Heart' as well as all associated arteries Zach."

Vigil will hold up a finger and slowly put it to where his mouth would be. He will then point to a tree and then say, as carefully as possible, one of the most spaced out pieces of gibberish that the elf said, before cutting off his mic to speak to frazz secretly.

"Frazz, they wont understand and there is a high chance they will become hostile. If that happens, repeat what you said before and lower yourslef to the ground, become as least threatening as possible. Body expressions should keep comunications open, but my skin color doesnt seem to be a thing, here. If I take off my helmet, we may cause worse issues. We need your body language to keep the situation defused."

The elves repeated their gibberish yelling at Frazz and Vigil again, arrows still drawn and aiming at the group.

"So when are we heading back?" Jenny asked as she lounged about, snacking on an energy bar and a box of juice while playing some sort of rhythm game with Aria, tapping on the table as dots reaches them to the beat of songs.

Maximus, meanwhile, have found himself rather useless at the moment and have joined a game session with the Wiznerds that aren't too busy. They helped him make his character sheet and they embarked on a quest to save the mayor's daughter from Evil McEvildoer. Maximus was the party's barbarian armed with a warhammer, which is just an Anvil strapped to the end of a tree trunk.

They're having a jolly good time.

"In two weeks Jenny. That's when our supplies'll start running low due to the addition of a small village's worth of probably humans to feed."

"Keep em talking Vigil. Just say gobbledy gook to em until the translation program kicks in."
