"Yes, lets find out if we'll experience some horrible demise if we step outside first i'd rather not have my flesh melt off or something.
But god this forest is beautiful if a tad creepy, think about it a world with life like this entirely untouched by humans......well until now that is."

"Also, the chances of a world/Atmosphere totally untouched by humans or any human-like life being poisonous isnt actually that high."

"We are getting samples of the trees, right? I think that would be very important. . . I think" vigil says as he checks the ground for small creatures and insects.

The Pilot and their cargo handlers paused when they saw that the entire camp is covered in eldritch runes coated in blood. And rotting monkey corpses everywhere..

"Incorrect Frazz. The chances of encountering something our immune systems have not had time to adapt to, or even learn to fight off? Is extremely high."

"And yes. We are."

Several flying recon drones have been launched from the hold after placed inside a sealed pressurized tube and shot out like torpedos, they curve in the air and began to fly away. Bringing human technology to this world of trees and wilderness.

Now, now you just have to wait. Everything immediately close by to the base are likely already been collected by scientists working in the labs on this side of the gate to find anything useful and test to find if it's any danger or not.

There was a metalic 'Thunk!' from nearby inside, it seems that Maximus have placed a large tray on a table. "Snacks." He explained, gesturing at the tray of assorted energy bars and juice boxes. All wrapped in recyclable materials, you might want to turn one into a rubber bullet one day, after all. The pseudo-Roman grabbed a bar and a box, deciding to be snacking while waiting for the recons to return. Both A and B Carmine went to get some as well before returning to their seats to keep a look on the monitor for live feeds from all drones.

"So what do you guys think we're going to find here?" A. Carmine asked curiously.

"Hey Tal, why dont we duct tape one of the souless corpses onto the roof of this thing? That way we can tell if theres anything narsty around. Kinda like how miners used to keep canarys around in case of gas leaks."

"Really like how your perspective of things." B. Carmine commented on that as he kept eyes on the Monitors, then blink and lean closer. "Hey, guys. Think I found something!" taking manual control of the drone, B. Carmine flies it closer..

On the Monitor, you can see what appears to be.. a village? a hamlet? of sort, surrounded by primitive wooden palisade with walkways boarded to the inside for people to walk on. On the dirt street you can see several humanoid figures tallying about in their daily lives, seemingly unaware of your drone.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

"Huh. Looks pretty, actually." The Normally quiet Jenny commented. "Would be a shame if something were to.. happen to it."
